The Dining Table

﴾ 1 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), fulfil (Aw'fuu' Bi) the agreements (El'Uquudi). Lawful for you (Uhillat' Lakum) are the livestock (El'An'äämi) animals (Bahiimati) except (illa) what (Maa) is recited (Yut'laa) to you (p) (Älai'kum) not (Gai'ra) adorned for (Muhillii) hunting (Es'Soi'di) while (Wa) you (Antum') are in the state of holiness (2:197) (Hurumun). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) decides (Yah'kumu) whatever (Maa) HE intends (Yuriid).
﴾ 2 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), do not (Laa) dissolve (Tuhillu') the rituals of GOD (22:32) (Sha'ääira-llahi) nor (Walaa) the Sacred Month (Es'Shah'ral' Haraama) nor the Sacrifice (El'Had'yaa) nor the Collars (animal neckband) (El'Qalaa-ida) nor (Walaa) the custodians (Aammiina) of the Sacred House (5:97) (El'Bai'tal' Haraama) who are seeking (Yab'taguuna) the favour (Fad'lan) of (Min) their LORD (Rabbi-him) and approval (Rid'waanan). And (Wa) when (Izaa) you are free (Halal'tum), then (Fa) hunt (Es'toadu'). And (Wa) do not (Laa) wrong yourselves (Yaj'rimannakum) by hating (Shana'aanu) a people (Qaw'min) that (An) repelled you (Sadduu-kum) from (Äni) the Sacred Mosque (2:144) (El'Mas'jidil' Haraami),lest (An) you would transgress (Ta'tadu'). But (Wa) cooperate (Ta'ääwanu') in (Älaa) righteousness (El'Birri)and piousness (Ettaq'waa), and (Wa) do not (Laa) cooperate (Ta'ääwanu') in (Älaa) sin (El' ith'mi) and aggression (Ud'waani). And (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha); indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is severe (Shadiidu) in penalty (El'Eqaab).
﴾ 3 ﴿ Unlawful (Hurrimat') to you (p) (Älai'kum) is dead animal 1 (El'Mai'tatu), blood 2 (Ed'Damu), the meat (Lah'mu) of pig 3 (El'Khinziiri), and what (Wamaa) has been offered (Uhilla Bihi) to (Li) other than GOD 4 (Gai'rillahi), and (Wa) the strangled animal 5 (El'Munkhaniqatu), the fatally ill animal 6 (El'Maw'quuzatu), the deteriorated animal 7 (El'Mutaraddiyatu), the butted animal 8 (En'Natiihatu), and (Wa) that which (Maa) the predatory beast (Es'Sabu'u) has eaten 9 (Akala), except (illa) what (Maa) you slaughter (Zakkai'tum'), but (Wa) do not (Maa) sacrifice (Zubiha) for (Älaa) an idol (monument) (En'Nusubi) to (An) conjure (Tas'taq'simu') with (Bi) divination arrows (El'Az'laami); that (Zaalikum) is immoral (Fis'qun). Today (El'Yaw'ma) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') have despaired (Yaisa) of (Min) your religion (Diini-kum), so (Fa) do not (Laa) fear them (Takh'shaw'hum), but (Wa) fear ME (Ekh'shaw'ni). Today (El'Yaw'ma) I (God) have perfected (Ak'mal'tu) your religion 1 (Diina-kum) for you (p) (Lakum) and completed (At'mam'tu) MY blessing 2 (Ni'matii) upon you (p) (Älai'kum) and have approved (Radiitu) the Submission (3:19) (El' Is'laama) as a religion 3 (Diinan) for you (p) (Lakumu). But (Fa) whoever (Mani) is compelled (Ed'turra) during (Fii) hunger (Makh'masatin) without (Gai'ra) being inclined (Mutajaanifin) to (Li) sin (Ith'mi); then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallahi) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).
﴾ 4 ﴿ They ask you (s) (Yas'aluunaka), what (Maaza) is lawful (Uhilla) for them (Lahum). Say (Qul): "Lawful for you (Uhilla Lakumu) are good things (Ettoyyibaatu), and what (Wamaa) you have taught (Ällam'tum) of (Min) predatory (El'Jawaarihi) dogs (Mukallibiina). You teach them (Tuällimuunahunna) from what (Mimmaa) GOD (Ellahu) has taught you (p) (Ällama-kumu). So (Fa) eat (Kulu') from what (Mimma) they catch for you (Am'sak'na Älai'kum), and (Wa) mention (Ez'kuru') the name of GOD (Es'ma-llahi) upon it (Älai'hi), and beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha)." Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is swift (Sariiu) in reckoning (El'Hisaab).

And (Wa) whoever (Man) disbelieves (Yak'fur) in the faith (Bil' iimaani), then (Fa) he has (Qad') foiled (Habito) his work (Ämalu-hu), and he (Huwa) will be among (Mina) the losers (El'Khaasiriin) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).

And (Wa) if (In) you are (Kuntum') sick (Mar'doa) or (Aw') on (Älaa) a journey (Safarin) or one (Ahadun) of you (Minkum) comes (Jaa'a) from (Mina) the toilet (El'Gaa'iti) or you have touched (Laamas'tumu) women (En'Nisaa'a) and (Fa) cannot (Lam') find (Tajidu') water (Maa'an), then (Fa) aim at (Tayammamu') a nice (Toyyiban) field (Soeedan) and (Fa) wipe (Em'sahuu') with (Bi) your faces 1 (Wujuuhi-kum) and (Wa) your hands 2 (Ai'dii-kum) thereof (Min'hu). GOD (Ellahu) does not (Maa) intend (Yuriidu) to (Li) place (Yaj'äla) any (Min') difficulty (Harajin) upon you (Älai'kum), but (Walaakin) HE intends (Yuriidu) to (Li) purify you (Yutohhira-kum) and (Wa) to (Li) complete (Yutimma) HIS blessing (Ni'mata-hu) upon you (Älai'kum) perhaps you (Laällakum) will be thankful (Tash'kuruun).
﴾ 7 ﴿ And (Wa) remember (Ez'kuru') the blessing of GOD (Ni'mata-llahi) upon you (Älai'kum) and (Wa) HIS covenant (Miithaaqa-hu) by (Bihi) which (Ellazii) HE assured you (p) (Waathaqa-kum) when (Iz') you said (Qul'tum'), "We hear (Sami'naa) and (Wa) we obey (Ato'naa);" so beware of GOD (Wa'ttaquu'llaha). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the essence (Zaati) of the bosoms (Es'Suduur).
﴾ 8 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), be (Kuunu') upright (Qawwaamiina) for GOD (Lillahi) as witnessess (4:135) (Shuhadaa’a) in justice (Bil' Qis'ti). And do not (Walaa) wrong yourselves (Yaj'rimannakum) by hating (Shana-aanu) a people (Qaw'min) in order not to (Älaa Alla) act justly (Ta'dilu'). Act justly (A'dilu'), it (Huwa) is nearer (Aq'rabu) to piousness (Lit' Taq'waa), and beware of GOD (Wa'ttaqu'llaha). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is conversant (Khabiiru) with what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluun).
﴾ 9 ﴿ GOD has promised (Waäda-llahu) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) do (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati) that they will have (Lahum) forgiveness (Mag'firatun) and (Wa) a great (Äziim) reward (Aj'run).
﴾ 10 ﴿ As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') and (Wa) deny (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa), those (U'laaika) will be the companions (As'haabu) of Hell (El'Jahiim).
﴾ 11 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (El'laziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), remember (Ez'kuruu') the blessing of GOD (Ni'mata-llahi) upon you (Älai'kum) when (Iz') other people (Qaw'mun) intended (Hamma) to (An) stretch (Yab'sutuu') their hands (Ai'diya-hum') at you (ilai'kum), but (Fa) HE restrained (Kaffa) their hands (Ai'diya-hum’) from you (Änkum’), so beware of GOD (Wa'ttaquu'llahi). And let (Fal') the believers (El'Mu'minuun) rely (Yatawakkali) on GOD (Älaallahi).
﴾ 12 ﴿ For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) had already (Laqad') taken (Akhaza) a covenant (Miithaaqa) with the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila), and (Wa) We delegated (Ba'ath'naa) twelve (Eth'na' Ashara) chiefs (Naqiiba) among them (Min'humu). And (Wa) GOD said (Qaala-llahu), "I am (Innii) with you (Maäkum), if (Lain') you establish (Aqam'tumu) the Litany 1 (Es'Solaata), give (Atai'tumu) the Charity 2 (Ez'Zakaata), believe (Amantum) in (Bi) MY messengers 3 (Rusulii), honour them 4 (Äzzar'tumuu-hum) and (Wa) lend GOD (Aq'rad'tumu-llaha) a good (Hasanan) loan 5 (Qar'doan), I will (La) atone (Ukaffiranna) your bad deeds (Sayyiaati-kum) for you (Änkum') and (Wa) will (La) admit you (Ud'khilanna-kum) into gardens (Jannaatin) beneath which (Min Tah'tiha) rivers (El'An'haar) flow (Taj'rii). But (Fa) whoever (Man) among you (Minkum') disbelieves (Kafara) after (Ba'da) that (Zaalika), then (Fa) he has (Qad') strayed (Dolla) from the straight (Sawaa'a) way (Es'Sabiil).
﴾ 13 ﴿ Because of what (Fabimaa) they have violated (Naq'di-him) of their covenant (Miithaaqa-hum) We cursed them (Laännaa-hum) and (Wa) made (Jaäl'naa) their hearts (Quluuba-hum) stubborn (Qaasiyatan). They distort (Yuharrifuuna) words (El'Kalima) out of (Än) their places (Mawaadie-hi) and have forgotten (Nasuu') a portion (Hazzaan) of what (Mimmaa) they were reminded (Zukkiru' Bihi). And (Wa) you will not (Laa) cease (Tazaalu) being surprise over (Tattaliu Älaa) the traitors (Khaa'inatin) among them (Min'hum), except (illa) a few (Qaliilan) of them (Min'hum'). Therefore (Fa) excuse them (E'fu Än'hum) and pardon (Es'fah'). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) loves (Yuhibbu) those who are benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).
﴾ 14 ﴿ And (Wa) among (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) say (Qaaluu'), "We (Innaa) are Christians (Nasoaraa)," We took (Akhaz'na) their covenant (Miithaaqa-hum), but (Fa) they forgot (Nasu') a portion (Hazzoan) of what (Mimmaa) they were reminded (Zukkiru' Bihi). So (Fa) We have incited (Ag'rai'na) antagonism (El'Ädaawata) and hatred (Wal' Bag'doa'a) among them (Bai'nahumu) till (ilaa) the Day of Resurrection (Yawmil' Qiyaamati). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) will (Saw'fa) inform them (Yunabbiu-humu) of what (Bimaa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Yas'nauun).
