The Divorce

﴾ 1 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) Prophet (En'Nabiyyu), when (Izaa) you divorce (Tollaq'tumu)* the women (En'Nisaa'a), then (Fa) divorce them (Tolliquu-hunna) by (Li) their period (65:4) (Eddati-hinna) and (Wa) count (Ah'su') the period (El'Eddata) and beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha), your LORD (p) (Rabba-kum). Do not (Laa) expel them (Tukh'rijuu-hunna) from (Min) their homes (Buyuuti-hinna) nor (Walaa) shall they leave (Yakh'ruj'naa) unless (illaa An) they have committed (Ya'tiina Bi) a proven (Mubayyinatin) adultery (Faahishatin); these (Til'ka) are the limits of GOD (Huduudu-llahi). And whoever (Waman) trespasses (Yutaädda) the limits of GOD (Huduudu-llahi), then (Fa) he has (Qad') wronged (Zolama) his soul (Naf'sa-hu). You do not (Laa) know (Tad'rii); perhaps (Laälla) GOD (Ellahu) will bring about (Yuh'dithu) a matter (Am'raa) after (Ba'da) that (Zaalika).
﴾ 2 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Izaa) their term (f) (Ajala-hunna) has reached (Balag'na), then (Fa) take them (Am'sikuu-hunna) in (Bi) kindness (Ma'ruufin) or (Aw') separate from them (Faariquu-hunna) in (Bi) kindness (Ma'ruufin). And (Wa) let two of (Zawai') justice (Äd'lin) among you (Minkum) bear witness (Ash'hidu') and establish (Aqiimu') the testimony (Es'Shahaadata) for GOD (Lillahi). That (Zaalikum) is an admonishment (Yuuäzu Bi-hi) to whoever (Man Kaana) believes (Yu'minu) in GOD (Billahi) and the Last Day (El'Yaw'mil' Aakhiri). And (Wa) whoever (Man) reverences GOD (Yattaqi-llaha); HE will make (Yaj'äl) a way out (Makh'raja) for him (Lahu)
﴾ 3 ﴿ and (Wa) will provide for him (Yar'zuq'hu) from (Min') where (Hai'thu) he (the pious) does not (Laa) take into consideration (Yah'tasibu). And whoever (Waman) relies (Yatawakkal') on GOD (Älaallahi), then (Fa) HE (Huwa) is sufficient for him (Has'bu-hu). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) will accomplish (Baaligu) his matter (Am'ri-hi). GOD (Ellahu) has already (Qad') assigned (Jaäla) a measure (Qad'raa) for (Li) everything (Kulli Shai'in).
﴾ 4 ﴿ As for (Wa) those who (Ellaai) despair (Yais'na) of (Mina) menstruation (El'Mahiidi) among (Min) your women (wives) (Nisaai-kum); if (In) you doubt (Er'tab'tum), then (Fa) their period (65:1) (Eddatu-hunna) is three (Thalaathatu) months (Ash'hurin), also for (Wa) those who (Ellaai) have not (Lam') menstruated (Yahid'na). And (Wa) those (U'laatu) who are pregnant (El'Ah'maali), their term (Ajalu-hunna) is until (An) they emanate (Yado'na) their pregnancy (Ham'la-hunna). And (Wa) whoever (Ma) reverences GOD (Yattaqi-llaha), HE will make (Yaj'äl) his matter (Min' Am'ri-hi) easy (Yus'raa) for him (Lahu).
﴾ 5 ﴿ That (Zaalika) is the command of GOD (16:1) (Am'ru-llahi) which HE has revealed (Anzala-hu) to you (p) (ilai'kum’). And (Wa) whoever (Man) reverences GOD (Yattaqi-llaha), HE will atone (Yukaffir') his bad deeds (Sayyiaati-hi) for him (Än'hu) and (Wa) enlarge (Yu'zim') the reward (Aj'raa) for him (Lahu).
﴾ 6 ﴿ Lodge them (the divorcees) (As'kinuu-hunna) at (Min') where (Hai'thu) you lodge (Sakantum) of (Min) your spot (place) (Wuj'di-kum) and do not (Walaa) harm them (Tudoarruu-hunna) in order to (Li) oppress them (Tudoyyiqu' Älai'hinna). And (Wa) if (In) they should be (Kunna) those (U'laati) with pregnancy (Ham'lin), then (Fa) spend on them (Anfiqu' Älai'hinna) until (Hattaa) they emanate (Yado'na) their pregnancy (Ham'la-hunna). And (Fa) if (In') they breastfeed (Ar'do'na) for you (Lakum), then (Fa) give them (Aatu-hunna) their fees (Ujuura-hunna) and (Wa) deliberate (Etamiru') between you (Bai'nakum) in (Bi) kindness (Ma'ruufin); but (Wa) if (In) you are in hardship (Ta'ääsar'tum’), then (Fa) another person (Ukh'raa) may nurture (Satur'diu) for him (the father) (Lahu).
﴾ 7 ﴿ Let (Li) one who possesses (Zuu) abundance (Saätin) spend (Yunfiq') from (Min) his abundance (Saäti-hi), as for (Wa) one whose (Man) sustenance (Riz'qu-hu) has been limited for him (Qudira Älai'hi), thus let (Fal') him spend (Yunfiq') from what (Mimmaa) GOD (Ellahu) has given him (Aataa-hu). GOD (Ellahu) does not (Laa) charge (Yukallifu) a soul (Naf'san) except (illa) what (Maa) HE has given it (Aataa-ha). GOD will grant (Sa Yaj'älu-llahu) ease (Yus'raa) after (Ba'da) hardship (94:6) (Us'rin).
﴾ 8 ﴿ And (Wa) how many (Ka'ayyin) a (Min) town (Qar'yatin) was insolent (Ätat') to (Än) the command (Am'ri) of its LORD (Rabbi-ha) and (Wa) HIS messengers (Rusuli-hi), consequently (Fa) We held it responsible (Haasab'naa-haa) with a severe (Shadiidan) reckoning (Hisaaban) and punished it (Äzzab'naa-haa) with a condemnable (Nuk'raa) punishment (Äzaaban).
﴾ 9 ﴿ And (Fa) it tasted (Zaaqat') the evil consequences (Wabaala) of its affair (Am'ri-ha), and (Wa) the outcome (Ääqibatu) of its affair (Am'ri-haa) was (Kaana) a loss (Khus'raa).
﴾ 10 ﴿ GOD has prepared (Aädda-llahu) a severe (Shadiida) punishment (Äzaaban) for them (Lahum); so (Fa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu-llaha), O (Yaa) those (U'lii) of intelligence (El'Al'baabi) who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanu'). GOD (Ellahu) has (Qad') sent down (Anzala) a remembrance (Zik'raa) to you (p) (ilai'kum).
﴾ 11 ﴿ A messenger (98:2) (Rasuulan) reciting (Yat'lu') to you (Älai'kum) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) clearly (Mubayyinaatin) in order to (Li) bring (Yukh'rija) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) do (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati) out of (Mina) darknesses (Ez'Zulumaati) into (ilaa) the light (En'Nuuri). And (Wa) whoever (Man) believes (Yu'min) in GOD (Billahi) and acts (Ya'mal') righteous (Soalihan), HE will admit him (Yad'khil'hu) into gardens (Jannaatin) beneath which (Min Tah'ti-ha) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii); eternally (Khaalidiina) therein (Fiiha) forever (Abadan). GOD (Ellahu) has already (Qad') perfected (Ah'sana) the sustenance (Riz'qaa) for him (Lahu).
﴾ 12 ﴿ GOD (Ellahu) is the One who (Ellazii) created (Khalaqa) seven (Sab'ä) heavens (Samaawaatin) and (Wa) of the earth (Minal' Ar'di), the like of them (67:3) (Mith'la-hunna). The command (El'Am'ru) descends (Yatanazzalu) among them (Bai'nahunna) so that (Li) you may know (Ta'lamuu') that GOD (Annallaha) is capable of (Qadiirun Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in) and that GOD (Annallaha) has (Qad') encompassed (Ahaato Bi) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in) in knowledge (il'ma).
