 ﴾ 1 ﴿ H (Ha), M (Miim):
﴾ 2 ﴿ The revelation (Tanziilu) of the Book (El'Kitaabi) is from GOD (Minallahi), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizi), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
﴾ 3 ﴿ We did not (Maa) create (Khalaq'naa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them (Bai'nahumaa) except (illa) for the truth (Bil' Haqqi) and (Wa) a fixed (Musamman) term (Ajalin); but (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') are turning away (Mu'riduun) from what (Ämmaa) they are warned (Unziru'). (44:39)
﴾ 4 ﴿ Say (Qul'): "Have you considered (Araai'tum) what (Maa) you invoke (Tad'uuna) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)? Show me (Aruu-nii) what (Maaza) they have created (Khalaqu') from the earth (Minal' Ar'di); or (Am') do they have (Lahum) partnership (Shir'kun) in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaat')? Bring me (E'tuunii Bi) a book (Kitaabin) before (Min Qab'li) this (Haazaa) or (Aw') traces (Athaaratin) of (Min') knowledge (il'min), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) truthful (Soadiqiin).”
﴾ 5 ﴿ And (Wa) who (Man') is more astray (Adollu) than one who (Mimman) invokes (Yad'u') other than GOD (Min Duuni-llahi) those who (Man) cannot (Laa) respond (Yas'tajiibu) to him (Lahu) until (ilaa) the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mil' Qiyaamati) and (Wa) they (Hum) are unaware (Gaafiluun) of (Än) their invocation (Duääi-him’)? (35:14)
﴾ 6 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Izaa) the people (En'Naasu) are assembled (Hushira), they (the idolized) will become (Kaanu') enemies (A'daa'an) to them (Lahum’), and they will be (Kaanu') disbelievers (Kaafiriin) in (Bi) their worship (Ebaadati-him).
﴾ 7 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Izaa) Our verses (Aayaatu-naa) are recited (Tut'laa) to them (Älai'him) as proofs (Bayyinaatin), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') say (Qaala) to the truth (Lil' Haqqi) after (Lamma) it had come to them (Jaa'a-hum), "This (Haaza) is clear (Mubiin) sorcery (Sih'run)."
﴾ 8 ﴿ Or (Am') are they saying (Yaquuluuna), "He (Mohammed) invented it (Ef'taraa-hu)?" Say (Qul'): "If I (Ini) have invented it (Ef'tarai'tu-hu), then (Fa) you cannot (Laa) control (Tam'likuuna) anything (Shai'a) against GOD (Minallahi) for me (Lii). HE (Huwa) is aware (A'lamu) of what (Bimaa) you overstep (Tufiiduuna) therein (Fiihi). HE is sufficient (Kafaa Bi-hi) as a Witness (Shahiida) between me and you (Bai'nii Wa Bai'na-kum’). And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the FORGIVING (El' Gafuuru), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).”
﴾ 9 ﴿ Say (Qul'): "I am (Kuntu) not (Maa) an innovation (the original) (Bid'ään) among (Mina) the messengers (Er'Rusuli), neither (Wamaa) do I know (Ad'rii) what (Maa) will be done to me (Yuf'älu Bii) nor (Walaa) to you (Bikum’). I (Mohammed) only (In' illa) follow (Attabiu) what (Maa) is inspired (Yuuhaa) to me (ilayya), and (Wa) I am (Ana') only (Maa illa) a clear (Mubiin) warner (Naziirun)."
﴾ 10 ﴿ Say (Qul'): "Have you considered (Araai’tum) whether (In) it (the Koran) was (Kaana) from GOD (Min' Endi-llahi) and (Wa) you disbelieved (Kafar'tum) in it (Bihi)? A witness (Shaahidun) among (Min) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa’iila) had testified (Shahida) to (Älaa) the like of it (Mith'li-hi), and (Fa) believed (Aamana) while (Wa) you are arrogant (Es'tak'bar'tum)? Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) guide (Yah'dii) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'ma)."
﴾ 11 ﴿ And (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') said (Qaala) to those who (Lillaziina) believe (Aamanu'), "If (Law') it had been (Kaana) good (Khai'ran), you would not (Maa) have preceded us (Sabaquu-naa) to it (ilai'hi).” And when (Iz') they are not (Lam') guided (Yah'tadu') by it (Bihi), then (Fa) they will say (Sa Yaquuluuna), "This (Haazaa) is an ancient (Qadiim) lie (If'kun)."
﴾ 12 ﴿ And (Wa) before it (Min Qab'lihi), the book (Kitaabu) of Moses (Muusaa) was a guide (Imaaman) and (Wa) a mercy (Rah'matan). And (Wa) this (Haaza) book (Kitaabun) is confirming (Musoddiqun)(Ärabiyyan) language (Lisaanan) in order to (Li) warn (Yunzira) those who (Ellaziina) have transgressed (Zolamu') and (Wa) as good news (Bush'raa) to the benevolent (Lil' Muh'siniin). (32:23)
﴾ 13 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) say (Qaalu'), "Our LORD (Rabbu-naa) is GOD (Ellahu)," and then (Thumma) remained upright (Es'taqaamu'), there will be no (Falaa) fear (Khaw'fun) upon them (Älai'him’) nor (Walaa) will they (Hum’) grieve (Yah'zanuun). (41:30)
﴾ 14 ﴿ Those (U'laaika) will be the Companions (As'haabu) of the Garden (El’Jannati), eternally (Khaalidiina) therein (Fiihaa); as reward (Jazaa'a) for what (Bimaa) they have (Kaanu') done (Ya'maluun).
﴾ 15 ﴿ And (Wa) We have advised (Wassoi'naa) the human being (El' insaana) to be good (Ih'saana) to (Bi) his parents (Waalidai'hi). His mother (Ummu-hu) bore him (Hamalat'hu) in distaste (Kur'han) and (Wa) gave birth to him (Wadoät'hu) in distaste (Kur'han); bearing him (Ham'lu-hu) and weaning him (Fisoalu-hu) for thirty (Thalaathuuna) months (Shah'ran) until (Hattaa), when (Izaa) he reaches (Balaga) his maturity (Ashudda-hu) and reaches (Balaga) forty (Ar'baeena) years (Sanatan), he should say (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), assign me (Aw'zi'nii) to (An') be thankful (Ash'kura) of YOUR blessing (Ni'mata-ka) which (Ellatii) YOU have favoured me (An'äm'ta Älayya) and (Wa) upon (Älaa) my parents (Waalidayya) and (Wa) to (An') act (A'mala) righteous (Soalihan) which YOU approve (Tar'doa-hu) and rectify (As'lih') for me (Lii) among (Fii) my offspring (Zurriyyatii). Indeed, I (Innii) have repented (Tub'tu) to YOU (ilai'ka), and (Wa) I am (Innii) of (Mina) the submitters (El'Mus'limiin)."
﴾ 16 ﴿ Those (U'laaika) are the ones (Ellaziina) from whom (Än'hum) We will accept (Nataqabbalu) the best (Ah'sana) of what (Maa) they have done (Ämilu'), and (Wa) We will disregard (Natajaawazu Än) their bad deeds (Sayyiaati-him’) among (Fii) the Companions (As'haabi) of the Garden (El'Jannati). A truthful (Es'Sid'qi) promise (Wa'da) which (Ellazii) they had been (Kaanu') promised (Yuuäduun).
﴾ 17 ﴿ And (Wa) there is one who (Ellazii) says (Qaala) to (Li) his parents (Waalidai'hi), "Ugh (Uffin) to you both (Lakumaa); are you promising me (A’taedaaninii) that (An') I will be brought forth (Ukh'raja) while (Wa) generations (El'Quruunu) before me (Min Qab'lii) had already (Qad') passed (Khalati)?!" And (Wa) both of them (the parents) (Humaa) will seek the help of GOD (Yas'tagiithaani-llaha). "Woe to you (son) (Wai'la-ka)! Believe (Aamin')! Indeed (Inna), the promise of GOD (Wa'da-llahi) is true (Haqqun)!" But (Fa) he (the son) will say (Yaquulu), "These (sayings) (Haazaa) are only (Maa illa) tales (Asaatiiru) of the past (El'Awwaliin)."
﴾ 18 ﴿ Those (U'laaika) are the ones (Ellaziina) on whom (Älai'him) the word (El'Qaw'lu) has been imposed (Haqqa) among (Fii) nations (Umamin) which had (Qad’) passed (Khalat) before them (Min Qab'li-him) of (Mina) jinns (El'Jinni) and humans (Wal' Insi). Indeed, they (Innahum) were (Kaanu') losers (Khaasiriin).
﴾ 19 ﴿ And (Wa) for (Li) each (Kulli) are degrees (Darajaatun) of what (Mimma) they have done (Ämilu'), so that (Wali) HE (God) may pay them (Yuwaffiya-hum’) their deeds (A'maala-hum) and they (Hum) will not (Laa) be wronged (Yuz'lamuun).
﴾ 20 ﴿ And (Wa) the day (Yaw'ma) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') are presented (Yu'radu) to (Älaa) the Fire (En'Naari), "You have gotten rid of (Az'hab'tum) your good things (Toyyibaati-kum) in (Fii) your (-kumu) worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (Hayaati) and (Wa) have enjoyed them (Es'tam'ta'tum Bihaa). So (Fa) today (El'Yaw'ma) you will be requited (Tuj'zaw'na) with a disgraceful (El'Huuni) punishment (Äzaaba) because (Bimaa) you were (Kuntum) arrogant (Tas'tak'biruuna) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) without (Bi-Gai'ri) right (El'Haqqi) and because (Bimaa) you were (Kuntum') acting immoral (Taf'suquun)."
﴾ 21 ﴿ And (Wa) mention (Ez'kur') the brother (Hud) (Akhaa) of Ad (Äädin), when (Iz') he warned (Anzara) his people (Qaw'ma-hu) of the dunes (Bil' Ah'qaafi)*, while (Wa) warnings (En'Nuzuru) had already (Qad') passed (Khalati) before it (Min Bai'di Yadai'hi) and after it (Min Khal'fi-hi) that, “Do not (Alla) worship (Ta'buduu') except (illa) GOD (Ellaha). Indeed, I (Innii) fear for you (Akhaafu Älai'kum) the punishment (Äzaaba) of a terrible (Äziim) day (Yaw'min)."
﴾ 22 ﴿ They said (Qaalu'), "Did you come (Aji'ta-naa) to (Li) lie to us (Ta'fika-naa) about (Än') our gods (Aalihati-naa)? Then (Fa) bring us (Eti-naa Bi) what (Maa) you promised us (Taedu-naa), if (In) you should be (Kunta) of (Mina) the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)."
﴾ 23 ﴿ He (Hud) said (Qaala), "The knowledge (El' il'mu) is only (Innamaa) with GOD (Endallahi), and (Wa) I notify you (Uballigu-kum) what (Maa) I have been sent with (Ur'sil'tu Bi-hi), but (Walaakinnii) I see you (Araa-kum’) are an ignorant (Taj'haluun) people (Qaw'man)."
﴾ 24 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lamma) they saw it (the promise) (Ra'aw'hu) as a storm (Ääridoan) coming to (Mus'taq'bila) their valleys (Aw'diyati-him’), they said (Qaalu'), "This (Haaza) storm (Ääridun) will abound us with rain (Mumtiru-naa)." “But rather (Bal'), it (Huwa) is what (Maa) you were hastening for (Es'ta'jal'tum Bi-hi); a wind (Riihun) in which (Fiiha) there is a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun),
﴾ 25 ﴿ destroying (Tudammiru) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) by (Bi) the command (Am'ri) of its LORD (Rabbi-haa).” And (Fa) they became (As'bahu') unseen (Laa Yuraa) except (illa) their houses (Masaakinu-hum). Thus (Kazaalika) did We requite (Naj'zii) the criminal (El'Muj'rimiin) people (El'Qaw'ma).
﴾ 26 ﴿ And (Wa) We had certainly (Laqad') established them (Makkannaa-hum) in that which (Fiimaa) We have not (In) established you (Makkannaa-kum) therein (Fiihi), and We granted them (Jaäl'naa Lahum) hearing 1 (Sam'än), eyesight 2 (Ab'soaran) and minds 3 (Af'idatan); but (Fa) neither (Maa) did their hearing (Sam'u-hum) nor (Walaa) their eyesight (Ab'soaru-hum) nor (Walaa) their minds (Af'idatu-hum) avail them (Ag'naa Än'hum) at all (Min Shai'in) when (Iz') they were (Kaanu') rejecting (Yaj'haduuna Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi); and (Wa) they were afflicted (Haaqa Bi-him) for what (Maa) they were (Kaanu') ridiculing (Yas'tah'ziuun Bihi).
﴾ 27 ﴿ And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') annihilated (Ah'lak'naa) those (Maa) around you (Haw'la-kum) of (Mina) the towns (El'Quraa), and (Wa) We have conducted (Sorraf'naa) the signs (El'Aayaati) perhaps they (Laällahum) might revert (Yar'jiuun).
﴾ 28 ﴿ So (Fa) why (Law') did those (Ellaziina) they took (Ettakhazu') as gods (Aalihata) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi) in communion (Qur'baanan) not (Laa) help them (Nasora-humu)? In fact (Bal'), they have diverted from them (Dollu' Än'hum). That (Zaalika) was their falsehood (If'ku-hum) and what (Wamaa) they were (Kaanu') fabricating (Yaf'taruun).
﴾ 29 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Iz') We directed (Soraf'naa) a troop (Nafaran) of (Mina) the jinn (El'Jinni) to you (s) (ilai'ka), listening (Yas'tamiuuna) to the Koran (72:1) (El'Qur'aana). And (Fa) when (Lammaa) they attended it (Hadoruu-hu), they said (Qaaluu'), "Listen (Ansitu')," and (Fa) after (Lamma) it was concluded (Qudiya), they turned (Wallaw') to (ilaa) their people (Qaw'mi-him) as warners (Munziriin).
﴾ 30 ﴿ They said (Qaalu'), "O (Yaa) our people (Qaw'ma-naa), indeed (Innaa) we have heard (Sami'naa) a book (Kitaaban) revealed (Unzila) after (Min Ba'di) Moses (Muusaa) confirming (Musoddiqan) what (Limaa) was before it (Ba'na Yadai'hi), guiding (Yah'dii) to (ilaa) the truth (El'Haqqi) and (Wa) to a straight (Mus'taqiim) way (path) (Tariiqin).
﴾ 31 ﴿ "O (Yaa) our people (Qaw'ma-naa), respond (Ajiibu') to the caller of GOD (Daaeya-llahi) and (Wa) believe (Aaminu') in HIM (Bihi); HE will forgive you (Yag'fir' Lakum) for (Min) your sins (Zunuubi-kum) and protect you (Yujir'kum) from (Min') a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabin),
﴾ 32 ﴿ but (Wa) whoever (Man) does not (Laa) respond (Yujib') to the caller of GOD (Daaeya-llahi), then (Fa) he can never (Lai'sa Bi) cause failure (Mu'jizin) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di), for (Wa) he does not (Lai'sa) have (Lahu) guardians (Aw'liyaau) besides HIM (Min Duuni-hi). Those (U'laaika) are in (Fii) clear (Mubiin) error (Dolaalin)."
﴾ 33 ﴿ Or do they not (Awalam) see (Yaraw') that GOD (Annallaha) is the One who (Ellazii) created (Khalaqa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) and (Wa) did not (Lam') slack (Ya'ya) in (Bi) their creation (Khal'qi-hinna) by (Bi) being able to (Qaadirin Älaa An) give life to (Yu'yiya) the lifeless (El'Maw'taa)? Certainly (Balaa), indeed HE (Innahu) is capable of (Qadiir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).
﴾ 34 ﴿ The day (Yaw'ma) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') are presented (Yu'radu) to (Älaa) the Fire (En'Naari), "Is (A-) this (Haaza) not (-lai'sa Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi)?" They will say (Qaalu'), "Indeed (Balaa), by (Wa) our LORD (Rabbi-naa)." HE (God) will say (Qaala), "Then (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (El'Äzaaba) for what (Bimaa) you used to (Kuntum') disbelieve (Tak'furuun)."
﴾ 35 ﴿ So (Fa) be patient (Es'bir'), as (Kamaa) were those (U'lu') of determination (El'Äz'mi) among (Mina) the messengers (11:120) (Er'Rusuli) and do not (Walaa) hasten for them (Tas'ta'jil La-hum). The day (Yaw'ma) they see (Yaraw'na) what (Maa) they are promised (Yuuäduuna); it will be as if they (Kaanna-hum’) had only (Lam' illa) lingered (Yal'bathuu') an hour (Saa'ätan) of (Min) a day (Nahaari); that is a notification (Balaagun). So (Fa) will (Hal') they be annihilated (Yuh'laku) if not (illa) the immoral (El'Faasiquun) people (El'Qaw'mu)?
