S سُورَةُ صٓ
﴾ ١ ﴿ صۤۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ذِی ٱلذِّكۡرِ
﴾ 1 ﴿
S (Soad)*: By (Wa) the Koran (El'Qur'aani) containing (Zii) the Remembrance (16:44) (Ez'Zik'r).
﴾ ٢ ﴿ بَلِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی عِزَّةࣲ وَشِقَاقࣲ
﴾ 2 ﴿
In fact (Bali), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') are in (Fii) glory (pride) (Ezzatin) and (Wa) dissension (Shiqaaq).
﴾ ٣ ﴿ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنࣲ فَنَادَوا۟ وَّلَاتَ حِینَ مَنَاصࣲ
﴾ 3 ﴿
How many (Kam') a (Min) generation (Qar'nin) have We annihilated (Ah'lak'naa) before them (Min Qab'li-him), and (Fa) they cried out (Naadaw') but (Wa) there was no (Laata) time (Hiina) to escape (Manaas').
﴾ ٤ ﴿ وَعَجِبُوۤا۟ أَن جَاۤءَهُم مُّنذِرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا سَـٰحِرࣱ كَذَّابٌ
﴾ 4 ﴿
And (Wa) they wonder (Äjibuu') that (An) a warner (Munzirun) among them (Min'hum) has come to them (Jaa'a-hum)? And (Wa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiruuna) say (Qaala), "This (Haazaa) is a sorcerer (Saahirun) and a liar (Kazzaab').
﴾ ٥ ﴿ أَجَعَلَ ٱلۡـَٔالِهَةَ إِلَـٰهࣰا وَ ٰحِدًاۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءٌ عُجَابࣱ
﴾ 5 ﴿
"Has (A-) he made (-jaäla) the gods (El'Aalihata) One (Waahida) God (ilaahan)? Indeed (Inna), this (Haazaa) is (La) something (Shai'un) amazing (Ujaab')."
﴾ ٦ ﴿ وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱمۡشُوا۟ وَٱصۡبِرُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءࣱ یُرَادُ
﴾ 6 ﴿
And (Wa) a crowd (El'Malau) among them (Min'hum) set forth (Entalaqa) that (Ani), "Continue (Em'shu') and be patient (Es'biru') with (Älaa) your gods (Aalihati-kum). Indeed (Inna), this (Haazaa) is (La) something (Shai'un) intended (Yuraad).
﴾ ٧ ﴿ مَا سَمِعۡنَا بِهَـٰذَا فِی ٱلۡمِلَّةِ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةِ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا ٱخۡتِلَـٰقٌ
﴾ 7 ﴿
"We have not (Maa) heard (Sami'naa) of (Bi) this (Haazaa) in (Fii) the last (El'Aakhirati) creed (El'Millati). This (Haaza) is only (In' illa) a fabrication (Ekh'tilaaq).
﴾ ٨ ﴿ أَءُنزِلَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِنَاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی شَكࣲّ مِّن ذِكۡرِیۚ بَل لَّمَّا یَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِ
﴾ 8 ﴿
"Has (A-) the Remembrance (Ez'Zik'ru) been revealed (-unzila) to him (Älai'hi) instead of us (Min Bai'ni-naa)?" Rather (Bal'), they (Hum) are in (Fii) doubt (Shakkin) of (Min) MY remembrance (Zik'rii). In fact (Bal), they have not (Lammaa) tasted (Yazuuqu') MY punishment (Äzaabi).
﴾ ٩ ﴿ أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَاۤىِٕنُ رَحۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡوَهَّابِ
﴾ 9 ﴿
Or (Am') do they possess (Endahum) the treasures (Khazaa’inu) of the mercy (Rah'mati) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizi), the GRANTOR (El' Wahhaab)?
﴾ ١٠ ﴿ أَمۡ لَهُم مُّلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۖ فَلۡیَرۡتَقُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَسۡبَـٰبِ
﴾ 10 ﴿
Or (Am') do they possess (Lahum) the dominion (Mul'ku) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them both (Bai'nahumaa)? Then let (Fal') them rise (Yar'taqu') in (Fii) the causes (El'As'baab).
﴾ ١١ ﴿ جُندࣱ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهۡزُومࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ
﴾ 11 ﴿
There (Hunaalika) were soldiers (Jundun) who (Maa) were defeated (Mah'zuumun) among (Mina) the parties (El'Ah'zaab):
﴾ ١٢ ﴿ كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحࣲ وَعَادࣱ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ ذُو ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ
﴾ 12 ﴿
The people (Qaw'mu) of Noah (Nuuhin) denied (Kazzabat) before them (Qab'lahum’), as well as (Wa) Ad (Äädun) and (Wa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'nu), possessor (Zuu) of the pyramids (stakes) (El'Aw'taad),
﴾ ١٣ ﴿ وَثَمُودُ وَقَوۡمُ لُوطࣲ وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ لۡـَٔیۡكَةِۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ
﴾ 13 ﴿
also (Wa) Thamud (Thamuudu), the people (Qaw'mu) of Lot (Luutin), and (Wa) the companions (As'haabu) of the jungle (Midian) (El'Ai'kati). Those (U'laaika) are the parties (38:11) (El'Ah'zaab).
﴾ ١٤ ﴿ إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
﴾ 14 ﴿
All (Kullu) did not (In) but (illa) deny (Kazzaba) the messengers (Er'Rusula), so (Fa) MY penalty (Eqaabi) was just (Haqqa).
﴾ ١٥ ﴿ وَمَا یَنظُرُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقࣲ
﴾ 15 ﴿
And (Wa) these people (Haaulaai) do not (Maa) wait (Yanzuru) except (illa) one (Waahidatan) blast (blow) (Soi'hatan); which will have (Lahaa) no (Maa Min) lapse (Fawaaq).
﴾ ١٦ ﴿ وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبۡلَ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
﴾ 16 ﴿
And (Wa) they say (Qaalu'), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), hasten (Äjjil) our cut (share) (Qitta-naa) to us (Lanaa) before (Qab'la) the Day of Reckoning (Yaw'mil' Hisaab)."
﴾ ١٧ ﴿ ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَیۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ
﴾ 17 ﴿
Be patient (Es'bir') with (Älaa) what (Maa) they say (Yaquuluuna) and (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Our servant (Äb'da-naa), David (Daawuuda), the possessor (Zaa) of strength (El'Ai'di); indeed, he (Innahu) was repentant (Awwaab).
﴾ ١٨ ﴿ إِنَّا سَخَّرۡنَا ٱلۡجِبَالَ مَعَهُۥ یُسَبِّحۡنَ بِٱلۡعَشِیِّ وَٱلۡإِشۡرَاقِ
﴾ 18 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), We subjugated (Sakkhar'naa) the mountains (34:10) (El'Jibaala) glorifying (Yusabbih'naa) along with him (Maähu) in the evening (Bil' Äshiyyi) and at daybreak (Wal' Ish'raaq),
﴾ ١٩ ﴿ وَٱلطَّیۡرَ مَحۡشُورَةࣰۖ كُلࣱّ لَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ
﴾ 19 ﴿
as well as (Wa) the crowded (Mah'shuuratan) birds (Ettoi'ra); he had (Lahu) all (Kullu) repeating (echoing) (Awwaab).
﴾ ٢٠ ﴿ وَشَدَدۡنَا مُلۡكَهُۥ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَفَصۡلَ ٱلۡخِطَابِ
﴾ 20 ﴿
And (Wa) We strengthened (Shadad'naa) his kingdom (Mul'ka-hu) and gave him (Aatai'naa-hu) the Wisdom (El'Hik'mata) and decisiveness (Fas'la) in speech (El'Khitoab).
﴾ ٢١ ﴿ ۞ وَهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلۡخَصۡمِ إِذۡ تَسَوَّرُوا۟ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ
﴾ 21 ﴿
And (Wa) has (Hal') the news (Naba'u) of the adversaries (Khas'mi) reached you (s) (Ataa-ka), when (Iz') they enclosed (Tasawwaru') the sanctum (El'Mih'raab)?
﴾ ٢٢ ﴿ إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفۡۖ خَصۡمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعۡضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ فَٱحۡكُم بَیۡنَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تُشۡطِطۡ وَٱهۡدِنَاۤ إِلَىٰ سَوَاۤءِ ٱلصِّرَ ٰطِ
﴾ 22 ﴿
When (Iz') they entered (Dakhalu') to (Älaa) David (Daawuda) and (Fa) he was frightened (Faziä) by them (Min'hum). They said (Qaalu'), "Do not (Laa) fear (Takhaf'), we are two adversaries (Khas'maani) encroaching (Bagaa) on each other (Ba'du-naa Älaa Ba'din), so (Fa) judge (Eh'kum) between us (Bai'naa) with the truth (Bil' Haqqi) and do not (Walaa) transgress (Tush'tit'), but (Wa) guide us (Eh'di-naa) to (ilaa) the straight (Sawaai) path (Es'Siraat).
﴾ ٢٣ ﴿ إِنَّ هَـٰذَاۤ أَخِی لَهُۥ تِسۡعࣱ وَتِسۡعُونَ نَعۡجَةࣰ وَلِیَ نَعۡجَةࣱ وَ ٰحِدَةࣱ فَقَالَ أَكۡفِلۡنِیهَا وَعَزَّنِی فِی ٱلۡخِطَابِ
﴾ 23 ﴿
"Indeed (Inna), this (Haazaa) brother of mine (Akhii) has (Lahu) ninety-nine (Tis'un Wa Tis'uuna) ewes (Na'jatan) and (Wa) I have (Lii) one (Waahidatun) ewe (Na'jatun), and (Fa) he (my brother) said (Qaala), ‘Let me support her (look after) (Ak'fil'nii-haa),’ and (Wa) he dominated me (Äzzanii) in (Fii) speech (El'Khitoab)."
﴾ ٢٤ ﴿ قَالَ لَقَدۡ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعۡجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِیرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡخُلَطَاۤءِ لَیَبۡغِی بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَقَلِیلࣱ مَّا هُمۡۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعࣰا وَأَنَابَ ۩
﴾ 24 ﴿
He (David) said (Qaala), "He has certainly (Laqad') wronged you (Zolama-ka) by (Bi) demanding (Suaali) your ewe (Na'jati-ka) to (ilaa) his ewes (Niääji-hi). For (Wa) indeed (Inna), many (Kathiiran) of (Mina) those who associate (El'Khulataai) do (La) encroach (Yab'gii) on each other (Ba'du-hum Älaa Ba'din), except (illa) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) do (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati), and (Wa) they (Hum’) are rare (Qaliilun Maa)." And (Wa) David (Daawudu) thought (Zonna) that (Annama) We were testing him (Fatannaa-hu), so (Fa) he sought the forgiveness (Es'tag'fara) of his LORD (Rabba-hu) and fell down (Kharra) in genuflection (Raaki'ään) and (Wa) repented (Anaab).
﴾ ٢٥ ﴿ فَغَفَرۡنَا لَهُۥ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ
﴾ 25 ﴿
So (Fa) We forgave him (Gafar'naa Lahu) that (Zaalika); for (Wa) indeed (Inna), he has (Lahu) a (La) rank (Zul'faa) with Us (Endanaa) and (Wa) a beautiful (Hus'na) resort (Ma'aab).
﴾ ٢٦ ﴿ یَـٰدَاوُۥدُ إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَـٰكَ خَلِیفَةࣰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱحۡكُم بَیۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ فَیُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدُۢ بِمَا نَسُوا۟ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
﴾ 26 ﴿
O (Yaa) David (Daawudu), indeed (Innaa) We have made you (Jaäl'naa-ka) a successor (Khaliifatan) on earth (Fill' Ar'di), so (Fa) judge (Eh'kum) between (Bai'na) the people (En'Naasi) with the truth (Bil' Haqqi) and do not (Walaa) follow (Tattabie) inclination (El'Hawaa), for (Fa) it will deviate you (Yudilla-ka) from (Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi). Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) deviate from (Yudilluuna Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) will have (Lahum) a severe (Shadiidu) punishment (Äzaabun) on the Day of Reckoning (Yaw'mal' Hisaab) for what (Bimaa) they have forgotten (Nasu').
﴾ ٢٧ ﴿ وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا بَـٰطِلࣰاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ فَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ
﴾ 27 ﴿
And (Wa) We did not (Maa) create (Khalaq'naa) the heaven (Es'Samaa'a) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them (Bai'nahumaa) in vain (3:191) (Baatilan). That (Zaalika) is the assumption (Zonnu) of those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru'), so (Fa) woe (Wai'lun) to those who (Lillaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') about (Mina) the Fire (En'Naar).
﴾ ٢٨ ﴿ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ كَٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ نَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ كَٱلۡفُجَّارِ
﴾ 28 ﴿
Or (Am') should We render (Naj'älu) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) do (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati) like (Ka) the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiina) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di)? Or (Am') should We render (Naj'älu) the pious (El'Muttaqiina) like (Ka) the immoral (El'Fujjaar)?
﴾ ٢٩ ﴿ كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ إِلَیۡكَ مُبَـٰرَكࣱ لِّیَدَّبَّرُوۤا۟ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ وَلِیَتَذَكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ
﴾ 29 ﴿
It is a blessed (Mubaarakun) book (Kitaabun) which We have revealed (Anzal'naa-hu) to you (s) (ilai'ka) so that (Li) they may contemplate (Yaddabbaruu') its verses (Aayaati-hi) and (Wa) that (Li) those (U'lu') of intelligence (El'Al'baab) would take heed (Yatazakkara). (4:82 / 47:24)
﴾ ٣٠ ﴿ وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ
﴾ 30 ﴿
And (Wa) We granted (Hab'naa) Solomon (Sulai'maana) to (Li) David (Daawuda); a wonderful (Ni'ma) servant (El'Äb'du). Indeed, he (Solomon) (Innahu) was repentant (Awwaab).
﴾ ٣١ ﴿ إِذۡ عُرِضَ عَلَیۡهِ بِٱلۡعَشِیِّ ٱلصَّـٰفِنَـٰتُ ٱلۡجِیَادُ
﴾ 31 ﴿
When (Iz') he examined (Urida Älai'hi) the scrotums (Es'Soafinaatu) of the steeds (El'Jiyaad) in the evening (Bil' Äshiyyi),
﴾ ٣٢ ﴿ فَقَالَ إِنِّیۤ أَحۡبَبۡتُ حُبَّ ٱلۡخَیۡرِ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّی حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتۡ بِٱلۡحِجَابِ
﴾ 32 ﴿
then (Fa) he said (Qaala), "I (Innii) prefer (Ah'bab'tu) the love (Hubba) of welfare (El'Khai'ri) to (Än) the remembrance (Zik'ri) of my LORD (Rabbii)," until (Hattaa) they (the horses) were concealed (Tawaarat) by the partition (Bil' Hijaab),
﴾ ٣٣ ﴿ رُدُّوهَا عَلَیَّۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسۡحَۢا بِٱلسُّوقِ وَٱلۡأَعۡنَاقِ
﴾ 33 ﴿
Solomon said "Bring them back (Rudduuhaa) to me (Älayya)," and (Fa) he immediately began (Tofiqa) rubbing (Mas'ha Bi) the legs (their) (El'Suuqi) and the necks (their) (Wal' A'naaq).
﴾ ٣٤ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا عَلَىٰ كُرۡسِیِّهِۦ جَسَدࣰا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
﴾ 34 ﴿
And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') We tested (Fatanna) Solomon (Sulai'maana) and bore down (Al'qai'na) a body (Jasadan) on (Älaa) his throne (Kur'siyyi-hi); then (Thumma) he repented (Anaab).
﴾ ٣٥ ﴿ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِی وَهَبۡ لِی مُلۡكࣰا لَّا یَنۢبَغِی لِأَحَدࣲ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِیۤۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡوَهَّابُ
﴾ 35 ﴿
He (Solomon) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), forgive me (Eg'fir' Lii) and (Wa) grant me (Hab' Lii) a kingdom (Mul'kan) which shall not (Laa) be incumbent (Yanbagii) for (Li) anyone (Ahadin) after me (Min Ba'dii). Indeed (Innaka), YOU (Anta) are the GRANTOR (El' Wahhaab)."
﴾ ٣٦ ﴿ فَسَخَّرۡنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّیحَ تَجۡرِی بِأَمۡرِهِۦ رُخَاۤءً حَیۡثُ أَصَابَ
﴾ 36 ﴿
So (Fa) We subjugated (Sakkhar'na) the wind (34:12) (Er'Riiha) occurring (Taj'rii) for him (Lahu) by (Bi) his command (Am'ri-hi), at ease (Rukhaa'an), wherever (Hai'thu) it strikes (Asoab),
﴾ ٣٧ ﴿ وَٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ كُلَّ بَنَّاۤءࣲ وَغَوَّاصࣲ
﴾ 37 ﴿
also (Wa) the devils (Es'Shayaatiina); all (Kulla) were building (34:13) (Banaa'in) and diving (Gawwaas),
﴾ ٣٨ ﴿ وَءَاخَرِینَ مُقَرَّنِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ
﴾ 38 ﴿
while (Wa) others (Aakhariina) were connected (Muqarraniina) in (Fii) handcuffs (El'As'faad).
﴾ ٣٩ ﴿ هَـٰذَا عَطَاۤؤُنَا فَٱمۡنُنۡ أَوۡ أَمۡسِكۡ بِغَیۡرِ حِسَابࣲ
﴾ 39 ﴿
"This (Haaza) is Our gift (Ätoau-naa); so (Fa) grant (Em'nun') or (Aw') withhold (Am'sik') without (Bi-Gai'ri) reckoning (Hisaab)."
﴾ ٤٠ ﴿ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ
﴾ 40 ﴿
And (Wa) indeed (Inna), he (Solomon) has (Lahu) a (La) rank (Zul'faa) with Us (Endanaa) and (Wa) a beautiful (Hus'na) resort (Ma'aab).
﴾ ٤١ ﴿ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَاۤ أَیُّوبَ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنِّی مَسَّنِیَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ بِنُصۡبࣲ وَعَذَابٍ
﴾ 41 ﴿
And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Our servant (Äb'da-naa) Job (Ayyuuba), when (Iz') he called (Naadaa) his LORD (Rabba-hu), "Indeed (Anni), the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) has touched me (Massaniya) with (Bi) affliction (Nus'bin) and torment (Äzaab).”
﴾ ٤٢ ﴿ ٱرۡكُضۡ بِرِجۡلِكَۖ هَـٰذَا مُغۡتَسَلُۢ بَارِدࣱ وَشَرَابࣱ
﴾ 42 ﴿
(he was told) "Strike (Er'kud') with (Bi) your leg (Rij'li-ka); there is (Haaza) cool (Baaridun) bath (Mug'tasalu) and (Wa) drink (Sharaab)."
﴾ ٤٣ ﴿ وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥۤ أَهۡلَهُۥ وَمِثۡلَهُم مَّعَهُمۡ رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّا وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِأُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ
﴾ 43 ﴿
And (Wa) We granted him (Wahab'naa Lahu) his family (Ah'la-hu) and the like of them (Mith'la-hum) along with them (Maähum') as mercy (Rah'matan) from Us (Minnaa) and a remembrance (Zik'raa) for (Li) those of intelligence (U'liil' Al'baab).
﴾ ٤٤ ﴿ وَخُذۡ بِیَدِكَ ضِغۡثࣰا فَٱضۡرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحۡنَثۡۗ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَـٰهُ صَابِرࣰاۚ نِّعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ
﴾ 44 ﴿
"And (Wa) take (Khuz') a bunch (Dig'than) in (Bi) your hand (Yadi-ka) and (Fa) rub with it (Ed'rib Bi-hi), and do not (Laa) perjure (Tah'nath')." Indeed (Innaa), We found him (Wajad'naa-hu) patient (Soabiran); a wonderful (Ni'ma) servant (El'Äb'du). Indeed, he (Job) (Innahu) was repentant (Awwaab).
﴾ ٤٥ ﴿ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عِبَـٰدَنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَإِسۡحَـٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوبَ أُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَیۡدِی وَٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرِ
﴾ 45 ﴿
And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Our servants (Ebaada-naa), Abraham 1 (Ib'raahiima), Isaac 2 (Is'haaqa) and Jacob 3 (Ya'quuba); those (U'lii) of strength (Ai'dii) and vision (Wal' Ab'soar).
﴾ ٤٦ ﴿ إِنَّاۤ أَخۡلَصۡنَـٰهُم بِخَالِصَةࣲ ذِكۡرَى ٱلدَّارِ
﴾ 46 ﴿
Indeed (Innaa), We dedicated them (Akh'las'naa-hum) with (Bi) an exclusive (Khaalisotin) remembrance (Zik'raa) of the Home (Ed'Daar).
﴾ ٤٧ ﴿ وَإِنَّهُمۡ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡطَفَیۡنَ ٱلۡأَخۡیَارِ
﴾ 47 ﴿
Indeed, they (Innahum) are (La) among (Mina) the chosen (El'Mus'tofai'na) and the best (El'Akh'yaar) with Us (Endanaa).
﴾ ٤٨ ﴿ وَٱذۡكُرۡ إِسۡمَـٰعِیلَ وَٱلۡیَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ وَكُلࣱّ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَخۡیَارِ
﴾ 48 ﴿
And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Ishmael 4 (Is'maa'eela), Isaiah 5 (El'yasaä) and Ezekiel 6 (Zaal' Kif'li), and all (Kullun) are among (Mina) the best (El'Akh'yaar).
﴾ ٤٩ ﴿ هَـٰذَا ذِكۡرࣱۚ وَإِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ لَحُسۡنَ مَـَٔابࣲ
﴾ 49 ﴿
This (Haaza) is a remembrance (Zik'run). And (Wa) indeed (Inna), for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiina) is (La) a beautiful (Hus'na) resort (Ma'aab).
﴾ ٥٠ ﴿ جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنࣲ مُّفَتَّحَةࣰ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡوَ ٰبُ
﴾ 50 ﴿
The gates (El'Ab'waab) of the Gardens (Jannaati) of Eden (Äd'nin) will be opened (Mufattahatan) for them (Lahumu).
﴾ ٥١ ﴿ مُتَّكِـِٔینَ فِیهَا یَدۡعُونَ فِیهَا بِفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ وَشَرَابࣲ
﴾ 51 ﴿
They will be resting (Muttaki'iina) therein (Fiihaa), requesting (Yad'uuna) for (Bi) many (Kathiiratin) fruits (Faakihatin) and (Wa) drink (Sharaab) therein (Sharaab).
﴾ ٥٢ ﴿ ۞ وَعِندَهُمۡ قَـٰصِرَ ٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ أَتۡرَابٌ
﴾ 52 ﴿
And (Wa) with them (Endahum') will be a party (Ettor'fi) of young women (37:48) (Qaasiraatu) as mates (At'raab).
﴾ ٥٣ ﴿ هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
﴾ 53 ﴿
This (Haaza) is what (Maa) you are promised (Tuu'äduuna) for (Li) the Day of Reckoning (Yaw'mil' Hisaab).
﴾ ٥٤ ﴿ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَرِزۡقُنَا مَا لَهُۥ مِن نَّفَادٍ
﴾ 54 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is (La) Our provision (Riz'qu-naa); which has (Lahu) no (Maa Min) depletion (Nafaad).
﴾ ٥٥ ﴿ هَـٰذَاۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِینَ لَشَرَّ مَـَٔابࣲ
﴾ 55 ﴿
This (Haaza), and (Wa) indeed (Inna), for (Li) the transgressors (Toagiina) is (La) an evil (Sharra) resort (Ma'aab).
﴾ ٥٦ ﴿ جَهَنَّمَ یَصۡلَوۡنَهَا فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ
﴾ 56 ﴿
They will burn (Yas'law'na-haa) in Hell (Jahannama); and (Fa) wretched (Bi'sa) is the resting place (El'Mihaad).
﴾ ٥٧ ﴿ هَـٰذَا فَلۡیَذُوقُوهُ حَمِیمࣱ وَغَسَّاقࣱ
﴾ 57 ﴿
This (Haaza), so let (Fal') them taste it (Yazuuquu-hu), magma (Hamiimun) and (Wa) pus (Gassaaq),
﴾ ٥٨ ﴿ وَءَاخَرُ مِن شَكۡلِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجٌ
﴾ 58 ﴿
as well as (Wa) other (Aakharu) kinds (Az'waaj) of (Min) its form (Shak'li-hi).
﴾ ٥٩ ﴿ هَـٰذَا فَوۡجࣱ مُّقۡتَحِمࣱ مَّعَكُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِهِمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ
﴾ 59 ﴿
"This (Haaza) is a group (Faw'jun) storming in (Muq'tahimun) with you (Maäkum'). There is no (Laa) welcome (Mar'haba) for them (Bihim). Indeed, they (Innahum') will burn (Soalu') in the Fire (En'Naar)."
﴾ ٦٠ ﴿ قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِكُمۡۖ أَنتُمۡ قَدَّمۡتُمُوهُ لَنَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡقَرَارُ
﴾ 60 ﴿
They will say (Qaalu'), "In fact (Bal'), you (Antum')! There is no (Laa) welcome (Mar'habaa) for you (Bikum'). You (Antum') introduced it (Qaddam'tumuu-hu) to us (Lanaa); and (Fa) wretched (Bi'sa) is the base (El'Qaraar)."
﴾ ٦١ ﴿ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا فَزِدۡهُ عَذَابࣰا ضِعۡفࣰا فِی ٱلنَّارِ
﴾ 61 ﴿
They will say (Qaalu'), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), whoever (Man) introduced (Qaddama) this (Haaza) to us (Lanaa), thus (Fa) increase for him (Zid'hu) double (Di'faan) punishment (Äzaaban) in (Fii) the Fire (En'Naar)."
﴾ ٦٢ ﴿ وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالࣰا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَشۡرَارِ
﴾ 62 ﴿
And (Wa) they will say (Qaalu'), "Why do we (Maa Lanaa) not (Laa) see (Naraa) people (Rijaalan) whom we used to (Kunnaa) count (Naudduhum) among (Mina) the evildoers (El'Ash'raar)?
﴾ ٦٣ ﴿ أَتَّخَذۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِیًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرُ
﴾ 63 ﴿
"Whom we took (Attakhaz'naa-hum') in mockery (Sikh'riyyan), or (Am') did our eyesight (El'Ab'soar) turn away from them (Zaagat' Än'humu)?"
﴾ ٦٤ ﴿ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ لَحَقࣱّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهۡلِ ٱلنَّارِ
﴾ 64 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), that (Zaalika) is (La) true (Haqqun); the people (Ah'li) of the Fire (En'Naar) will quarrel (Takhaasumu).
﴾ ٦٥ ﴿ قُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرࣱۖ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡوَ ٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّارُ
﴾ 65 ﴿
Say (Qul'): "I am (Ana') only (Innamaa) a warner (Munzirun), and (Wa) there is no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) except (illa) the GOD (Ellahu), the ONE (El' Waahidu), the CONQUEROR (El' Qahhaar).
﴾ ٦٦ ﴿ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرُ
﴾ 66 ﴿
"LORD (Rabbu) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them both (Bai'nahumaa), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the FORGIVER (El' Gaffaar)."
﴾ ٦٧ ﴿ قُلۡ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِیمٌ
﴾ 67 ﴿
Say (Qul'): "It (Huwa) is a great (Äziim) news (Nabaun')
﴾ ٦٨ ﴿ أَنتُمۡ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضُونَ
﴾ 68 ﴿
from which (Än'hu) you (Antum) are turning away (Mu'riduun).
﴾ ٦٩ ﴿ مَا كَانَ لِیَ مِنۡ عِلۡمِۭ بِٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰۤ إِذۡ یَخۡتَصِمُونَ
﴾ 69 ﴿
"I (Mohammed) had (Kaana Liya) no (Maa Min') knowledge (il'mi) of (Bi) the highest (El'A'laa) assembly (El'Malai) when (Iz') they were arguing (Yakh'tasimuun).
﴾ ٧٠ ﴿ إِن یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیَّ إِلَّاۤ أَنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینٌ
﴾ 70 ﴿
"It was only (In illaa) inspired to me (Yuuhaa ilayya) that (Annamaa) I am (Ana') a clear (Mubiin) warner (Naziirun)."
﴾ ٧١ ﴿ إِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنِّی خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰا مِّن طِینࣲ
﴾ 71 ﴿
“When (Iz') your LORD (s) (Rabbu-ka) said (Qaala) to the Angels (Lil' Malaaikati), "I am (Innii) creating (Khaaliqu) a human (Basharan) from (Min) clay (Tiin).
﴾ ٧٢ ﴿ فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ
﴾ 72 ﴿
"So (Fa) when (Izaa) I have organized him (Sawwai'tu-hu) and (Wa) blown (Nafakh'tu) MY Spirit (Ruuhii) into him (Fiihi), then (Fa) fall down (Qau') to him (Lahu) in prostration (Saajidiin)."
﴾ ٧٣ ﴿ فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
﴾ 73 ﴿
So (Fa) the Angels (El'Malaaikatu) prostrated (Sajada) all of them (Kulluhum') entirely (Aj'mauun),
﴾ ٧٤ ﴿ إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ
﴾ 74 ﴿
except (illa) Lucifer (Ib'liisa); he became arrogant (Es'tak'bara) and (Wa) was (Kaana) of (Mina) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).
﴾ ٧٥ ﴿ قَالَ یَـٰۤإِبۡلِیسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِیَدَیَّۖ أَسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَالِینَ
﴾ 75 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Lucifer (Ib'liisu), what (Maa) prevented you (Manaä-ka) from (An) prostrating (Tas'juda) to what (Limaa) I created (Khalaq'tu) with (Bi) MY hands (Yadayya)? Are you arrogant (As'tak'bar'ta), or (Am') are you (Kunta) of (Mina) the haughty (El'Ääliin)?"
﴾ ٧٦ ﴿ قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡهُ خَلَقۡتَنِی مِن نَّارࣲ وَخَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن طِینࣲ
﴾ 76 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "I am (Ana') better (Khai'run) than him (Min'hu). YOU created me (Khalaq'ta-nii) from (Min) fire (Naarin) and (Wa) created him (Khalaq'ta-hu) from (Min) clay (Tiin)."
﴾ ٧٧ ﴿ قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ
﴾ 77 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) get out from it (Ekh'ruj' Min'ha), for (Fa) indeed, you (Innaka) are cursed (Rajiim).
﴾ ٧٨ ﴿ وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكَ لَعۡنَتِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ
﴾ 78 ﴿
"And (Wa) indeed (Inna), upon you (Lucifer) (Älai'ka) is MY curse (La'natii) till (ilaa) the Day of Judgement (Yaw'mi-d'Diin)."
﴾ ٧٩ ﴿ قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ
﴾ 79 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), then (Fa) respite me (Anzir'nii) till (ilaa) the day (Yaw'mi) they (p) are resurrected (Yub'äthuun)."
﴾ ٨٠ ﴿ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ
﴾ 80 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) indeed, you (Innaka) are of (Mina) the respited (El'Munzoriin)
﴾ ٨١ ﴿ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
﴾ 81 ﴿
until (ilaa) the day (Yaw'mi) of the fixed (El'Ma'luum) time (El'Waq'ti).” (15:37-38)
﴾ ٨٢ ﴿ قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 82 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) by (Bi) YOUR might (Ezzati-ka), I will (La) mislead them (Ug'wiyanna-hum') all (Aj'maeen)
﴾ ٨٣ ﴿ إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ
﴾ 83 ﴿
except (15:40) (illa) YOUR (-ka) sincere (El'Mukh'lasiin) servants (Ebaada-) among them (Min'humu)."
﴾ ٨٤ ﴿ قَالَ فَٱلۡحَقُّ وَٱلۡحَقَّ أَقُولُ
﴾ 84 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) the truth (El'Haqqu), and the truth (Wal' Haqqa) do I say (Aquul),
﴾ ٨٥ ﴿ لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكَ وَمِمَّن تَبِعَكَ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 85 ﴿
"I will (La) fill (Am'la'anna) Hell (Jahannama) with you (Lucifer) (Minka) and (Wa) whoever (Mimman) follows you (Tabiä-ka) among them (Min'hum'), all together (Aj'maeen)."
﴾ ٨٦ ﴿ قُلۡ مَاۤ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرࣲ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَكَلِّفِینَ
﴾ 86 ﴿
Say (Qul'): "I do not (Maa) ask you (p) (As'alu-kum') any (Min') wage (Aj'rin) for it (Älai'hi), and (Wa) I am (Ana') not (Maa) of (Mina) the phonies (El'Mutakallifiin).
﴾ ٨٧ ﴿ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ
﴾ 87 ﴿
"It (Huwa) is only (In' illa) a remembrance (Zik'run) for the worlds (Lil' Äälamiin).
﴾ ٨٨ ﴿ وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُۥ بَعۡدَ حِینِۭ
﴾ 88 ﴿
"And (Wa) you will (La) find out (Ta'lamunna) its news (Naba'a-hu) after (Ba'da) a time (Hiin)."
