The Thrombus سُورَةُ العَلَقِ
﴾ ١ ﴿ ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ
﴾ 1 ﴿
Read (Eq'ra') in (Bi) the name (Es'mi) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka) who (Ellazii) creates (Khalaq),
﴾ ٢ ﴿ خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ
﴾ 2 ﴿
HE creates (Khalaqa) the human being (El' Insaana) from (Min') a thrombus (Älaq)*; (22:5)
﴾ ٣ ﴿ ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ
﴾ 3 ﴿
read (Eq'ra'), and (Wa) your LORD (s) (Rabbu-ka) is the Most Honourable (El' Ak'ram),
﴾ ٤ ﴿ ٱلَّذِی عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ
﴾ 4 ﴿
who (Ellazii) has taught (Ällama) by (Bi) the pen (68:1) (El'Qalam);
﴾ ٥ ﴿ عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمۡ یَعۡلَمۡ
﴾ 5 ﴿
HE taught (Ällama) the human being (El' Insaana) what (Maa) he knew (Ya'lam’) not (Lam'). (4:113)
﴾ ٦ ﴿ كَلَّاۤ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لَیَطۡغَىٰۤ
﴾ 6 ﴿
Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed (Inna), the human being (El 'Insaana) is (La) transgressing (Yat'gaa),
﴾ ٧ ﴿ أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰۤ
﴾ 7 ﴿
because (An) he thinks he (Raa'hu) has been spared (Es'tag'naa).
﴾ ٨ ﴿ إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰۤ
﴾ 8 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), to (illaa) your LORD (Rabbi-ka) is the return (Er'Ruj'ää).
﴾ ٩ ﴿ أَرَءَیۡتَ ٱلَّذِی یَنۡهَىٰ
﴾ 9 ﴿
Have you (s) seen (Ara-ai'ta) the one who (Ellazii) forbids (Yan'haa)
﴾ ١٠ ﴿ عَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰۤ
﴾ 10 ﴿
a servant (Ab'daan) when (Izaa) he prays (Sollaa)?
﴾ ١١ ﴿ أَرَءَیۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ
﴾ 11 ﴿
Have you (s) seen (Ara-ai'ta) whether (In) he is (Kaana) upon (Älaa) the Guidance (El'Hudaa)
﴾ ١٢ ﴿ أَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۤ
﴾ 12 ﴿
or (Aw') calls for (Amara Bi) piousness (Ettaq'waa)?
﴾ ١٣ ﴿ أَرَءَیۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰۤ
﴾ 13 ﴿
Have you (s) seen (Ara-ai'ta) when (In) he denies (Kazzaba) and (Wa) turns away (Tawallaa)?
﴾ ١٤ ﴿ أَلَمۡ یَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَرَىٰ
﴾ 14 ﴿
Does he not (Alam' Bi) know (Ya'lam) that GOD (Annallahi) sees (Yaraa)?
﴾ ١٥ ﴿ كَلَّا لَىِٕن لَّمۡ یَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِیَةِ
﴾ 15 ﴿
Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed, if (Lain) he does not (Lam') refrain (Yantahi), We will (La) scorch him (-Nas'faää) by (Bi) the forelock (En'Naasiya');
﴾ ١٦ ﴿ نَاصِیَةࣲ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةࣲ
﴾ 16 ﴿
the forelock (Naasiyatin) of a liar (Kaazibatin) at fault (Khaatia’).
﴾ ١٧ ﴿ فَلۡیَدۡعُ نَادِیَهُۥ
﴾ 17 ﴿
Then let (Fal') him call (Yad'u) his association (Naadiya-hu);
﴾ ١٨ ﴿ سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِیَةَ
﴾ 18 ﴿
We will call (Sa Nad'u) the myrmidons (66:6) (Ez'Zabaaniya').
﴾ ١٩ ﴿ كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡ وَٱقۡتَرِب ۩
﴾ 19 ﴿
Nay (Kallaa)! Do not (Laa) obey him (Tuti'hu), but (Wa) make obeisance (Es'jud') and (Wa) draw nearer (Eq'tarib).
