The Story

 ﴾ 1 ﴿ T (To), S (Siin), M (Miim):
﴾ 2 ﴿ These (Til'ka) are signs (symbols) (Aayaatu) of the Clear (El'Mubiin) Book (El'Kitaabi).
﴾ 3 ﴿ We recite (Nat'lu') to you (s) (Älai'ka) from (Min) the news (Nabai) of Moses (Muusaa) and (Wa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) in truth (Bil' Haqqi) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun).
﴾ 4 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) loomed (Älaa) in the land (Fiil' Ar'di) and (Wa) made (Jaäla) its people (Ah'la-haa) into communities (Shiyaän), oppressing (Yas'tad'ifu) a faction (Toa'ifatan) among them (Min'hum), slaughtering (Yuzabbihu) their sons (Ab'naa'a-hum) and (Wa) keeping their women (Nisaa'a-hum) alive (-Yas'tah'yi). Indeed, he (Innahu) was (Kaana) of (Mina) the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).
﴾ 5 ﴿ So (Wa) We intended (Nuriidu) to (An) favour (Namunna Älaa) those who (Ellaziina) were oppressed (Es'tud'ifu') in the land (Fiil' Ar'di), and (Wa) We made them (Naj'äla-hum) leaders (A'immatan) and made them (Naj'äla-humu) inheritors (El'Waarithiin).
﴾ 6 ﴿ And (Wa) We firmly established them (Numakkina Lahum) in the land (Fiil' Ar'di) and (Wa) showed(Nuriya) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na), Haman (Haamaana), and the soldiers of both (Junuuda-humaa) of them (Min'hum) what (Maa) they had been (Kaanu') cautious of (Yah'zaruun).
﴾ 7 ﴿ And (Wa) We inspired (Aw'hai'naa) to (ilaa) the mother (Ummi) of Moses (Muusaa) that (An'), "Nurture him (Ar'diee-hi), and (Fa) when (Izaa) you fear (Khif'ti) for him (Älai'hi), then (Fa) throw him (Al'qii-hi) into the sea (Fiil' Yammi) and do not (Walaa) fear (Takhaafi) nor (Walaa) grieve (Tah'zani). Indeed (Innaa), We shall return him (Raadduu-hu) to you (ilai'ki) and make him (Jaaeluu-hu) one of (Mina) the messengers (El'Mur'saliin)." (20:38)
﴾ 8 ﴿ So (Fa) the family (Aalu) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) obtained him (El'taqata-hu) that (Li) he may become (Yakuuna) an enemy (Äduwwan) and (Wa) a grief (Hazana) for them (Lahum). Indeed (Inna), Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na), Haman (Haamaana), and the soldiers of both (Junuuda-humaa) were (Kaanu') at fault (Khaati'iin).
﴾ 9 ﴿ And (Wa) the wife (Em'ra'atu) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) said (Qaalati), "He (Moses) will entertain the eyes (Qurratu Äi'nin) for me (Lii) and (Wa) for you (Laka). Do not (Laa) kill him (Taq'tuluu-hu) perhaps (Äsaa An) he will benefit us (Yanfaä-naa), or (Aw') we may adopt him (Nattakhiza-hu) as a son (Waladan)." And (Wa) they did not (Laa) perceive (Yash'uruun).
﴾ 10 ﴿ And (Wa) the mind (Fuaadu) of the mother (Ummi) of Moses (Muusaa) became (As'baha) empty (Faarigan). She almost (In Kaadat') would have (La) disclosed him (Tub'dii Bi-hi), if not (Law' Laa) because (An) We had connected (Rabat'naa Älaa) her heart (Qal'bi-haa) that (Li) she would be (Takuuna) of (Mina) the believers (El'Mu'miniin).
﴾ 11 ﴿ And (Wa) she (the mother) said to (Qaalat’ Li) his sister (Ukh'ti-hi), “Relate to him (Qussii-hi).” So (Fa) she (the sister) perceived him (Bashurat Bi-hi) from (Än) the side (Junubin) while (Wa) they (Hum) did not (Laa) perceive (Yash'uruun).
﴾ 12 ﴿ And (Wa) We forbade (Harram'naa) foster mothers (El'Maraadiä) for him (Älai'hi) earlier (Min Qab'lu), so (Fa) she (the sister) said (Qaalat), "Shall (Hal') I direct you to (Adullu-kum’ Älaa) a family (Ah'li) house (Bai'tin) who can support him (take care of) (Yak'fuluunahu) for you (Lakum’), and (Wa) they (Hum) will be sincere to him (Naasihuun Lahu)?"
﴾ 13 ﴿ So (Fa) We returned him (Radad'naa-hu) to (ilaa) his mother (Ummi-hi) in order to (Kai') entertain (Taqarra) her eyes (Äi'nu-haa) and (Wa) not (Laa) grieve (Tah'zana) and to (Wali) know (Ta'lama) that (Anna) the promise of GOD (Wa'da-llahi) is true (Haqqu), but (Walaakinna) most of them (Ak'thara-hum) do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun).
﴾ 14 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Lammaa) he (Moses) attained (Balaga) his maturity (Ashudda-hu) and was matured (Es'tawaa), We gave him (Aatai'naa-hu) judgement (Huk'man) and knowledge (il'man). And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) do We reward (Naj’zii) the benevolent (El’Muh’siniin).
﴾ 15 ﴿ And (Wa) he entered (Dakhala) the city (El'Madiinata) at (Älaa) a time (Hiini) its people (Ah'li-haa) were unaware (Gaf'latin), then (Fa) he found (Wajada) two men (Rajulai'ni) fighting (Yaq'tatilani) therein (Fiiha); this (Haaza) from (Min) his community (Shiiäti-hi) and (Wa) this (Haaza) from (Min') his enemy (Äduwwi-hi). And (Fa) the one who (Ellazii) was from (Min) his community (Shiiäti-hi) asked for his help (Es'tagaatha-hu) against (Älaa) the one who (Ellazii) was from (Min') his enemy (Äduwwi-hi), then (Fa) Moses (Muusaa) punched him (the enemy) (Wakaza-hu) and (Fa) finished him (Qadaa Älai'hi). He (Moses) said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) is from (Min') the work (Ämali) of the devil (Es'Shai'taani). Indeed, he (Innahu) as an enemy (Äduwwun) is a clear (Mubiin) misleader (Mudillun)."
﴾ 16 ﴿ He (Moses) said, "LORD (Rabbi), indeed I have (Innii) wronged (Zolam'tu) my soul (Naf'sii), so (Fa) forgive me (Eg'fir' Lii)," and (Fa) HE (God) forgave him (Gafara La-hu). Indeed (Innahu), HE (Huwa) is the FORGIVING (El' Gafuuru), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).
﴾ 17 ﴿ He (Moses) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), because (Bimaa) YOU have favoured me (An'äm'ta Älayya), hence (Fa) I will never (Lan') be (Akuuna) an assistant (Zohiiran) to the criminals (Lil' Muj'rimiin)."
﴾ 18 ﴿ So (Fa) he became (As'baha) fearful (Khaa'ifan) and (Wa) anticipating (Yataraqqabu) in (Fii) the city (El'Madiinati), and (Fa) then (Izaa) the one who (Ellazii) asked for his assistance (Es'tansora-hu) in the day before (Bil' Am'si) asked again for his help (Yas'tas'rikhu-hu). Moses (Muusaa) said to him (Qaala La-hu), "Indeed, you (Innaka) are (La) a clear (Mubiin) misleader (Gawiyyun)."
﴾ 19 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lammaa An’) he intended (Araada) to (An) attack (Yab'tisha Bi) the one (Ellazii) who (Huwa) was an enemy (Äduwwu) to them (Lahumaa), he (the enemy) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), do you want (Aturiidu) to (An) kill me (Taq'tulanii) as (Kamaa) you killed (Qatal'ta) someone (Naf'sa) yesterday (Bil' Am'si)? You only (In illaa) intend (Turiidu) to (An) be (Takuuna) a tyrant (Jabbaaran) in the land (Fiil' Ar'di), and (Wa) you do not (Maa) intend (Turiidu) to (An) be (Takuuna) of (Mina) the peacemakers (El'Mus'lihiin)."
﴾ 20 ﴿ And (Wa) a man (Rajulun) came (Jaa'a) from (Min') the farthest (Aq'soa) of the city (El'Madiinati), striving (Yas'ää). He said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), indeed (Inna) the crowd (El'Mala'a) are demanding for you (Ya'tamiruuna Bi-ka) in order to (Li) kill you (Yaq'tuluu-ka), so (Fa) leave (Ekh'ruj); I am indeed (Innii) of (Mina) the advisors (En'Naasihiin) to you (Laka)."
﴾ 21 ﴿ So (Fa) he (Moses) left it (Kharaja Min'ha), fearfully (Khaa'ifan) anticipating (Yataraqqabu). He said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), rescue me (Najjinii) from (Mina) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."
﴾ 22 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Lammaa) he faced (Tawajjaha) towards (Til'qaa'a) Midian (Mad'yana), he said (Qaala), "Perhaps (Äsaa An) my LORD (Rabbii) will guide me (Yah'diyanii) to the straight (Sawaa'a) path (Es'Sabiil)."
﴾ 23 ﴿ And (Wa) when (Lammaa) he arrived at (Warada) at the water (Maa'a) of Midian (Mad'yana), he found (Wajada) a nation (Ummatan) of (Mina) people (En'Naasi) watering (Yas'quuna) around it (Älai'hi), and (Wa) he found (Wajada) besides them (Min Duuni-himu) two women (Em'ra'atai'ni) in defence (Tazuudaani). He said (Qaala), "What (Maa) is your affair (Khat'bu-kumaa)?" They both said (Qaalataa), "We cannot (Laa) water (Nas'qii) until (Hattaa) the patrons (Er'Riääu) have dispatched (Yus'dira); and our father (Jethro) (Abuu-naa) is very (Kabiir) old (Shai'khun)."
﴾ 24 ﴿ So (Fa) he watered (Saqaa) for them (Lahumaa) and then (Thumma) turned (Tawallaa) towards (ilaa) the shade (Ez'Zilli) and (Fa) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), indeed I am (Innii) in need (Faqiir) of whatever (Limaa) you send down (Anzal'ta) to me (ilayya) of (Min') good (welfare) (Khai'rin)."
﴾ 25 ﴿ So (Fa) one of them (Ih'daa-humaa) came to him (Jaa'at'hu) walking (Tam'sii) with (Älaa) shyness (Es'tih'yaa'in). She said (Qaalat'), "Indeed (Inna), my father (Abii) invites you (Yad'uu-ka) so that (Li) he may repay you (Yaj'ziya-ka) a wage (Aj'ra) for what (Maa) you watered (Saqai'ta) for us (Lanaa)." So (Fa) when (Lammaa) he (Moses) came to him (Jaa'a-hu) and (Wa) narrated (Qasso) the story (El'Qasoso)* to him (Älai'hi), he (Jethro) said (Qaala), "Do not (Laa) fear (Takhaf'). You have been rescued (Najaw'ta) from (Mina) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."
﴾ 26 ﴿ One of them (Ih'daa-humaa) said (Qaalat'), "O (Yaa) my father (Abati), hire him (Es'ta'jir'hu). Indeed (Inna), the best (Khai'ra) you can hire (Es'ta'jar'ta) is the strong (El'Qawiyyu) and the trustworthy (El'Amiin)."
﴾ 27 ﴿ He (Jethro) said (Qaala), "I (Innii) intend (Uriidu) to (An') give you one (Ih'daa) of these two (Haatai'ni) daughters of mine (Eb'natayya) to marry (Unkiha-ka) so that (Älaa An) you may compensate me (Ta'juranii) for eight (Thamaaniya) pilgrimages (Hijajin); but (Fa) if (In') you complete (At'mam'ta) ten (Äsharan), then (Fa) it will be from you (Min' Endi-ka). And (Wa) I do not (Maa) intend (Uriidu) to (An') distress you (Ashuqqa Älai'ka). You will find me (Sa Tajidunii) of (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin), if (In) GOD wills (Shaa'a-llahu)."
﴾ 28 ﴿ He (Moses) said (Qaala), "That (Zaalika) is between me and you (Bai'nii Wa Bai'na-ka). Whichever (Ayyama) of the two terms (El'Ajalai'ni) I accomplish (Qadoi'tu), there (Fa) will be no (Laa) hostility (Ud'waana) against me (Älayya). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is a representative (Wakiil) over (Älaa) what (Maa) we say (Naquulu)."
﴾ 29 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lammaa) Moses (Muusaa) had accomplished (Qadoa) the term (El'Ajala) and (Wa) was travelling (Saara) with (Bi) his family (Ah'li-hi), he perceived (Aanasa) a fire (Naaran) from (Min) the side (Jaanibi) of the Mount (Ettuuri). He said (Qaala) to (Li) his family (Ah'li-hi), "Stay here (Em'kuthuu'), I have (Innii) perceived (Aanas'tu) a fire (Naaran), perhaps I (Laällii) will bring you (Aatiikum Bi) information (27:7) (Khabarin) therefrom (Min'haa) or (Aw') a firebrand (Jaz'watin) from (Mina) the fire (En'Naari) that you (Laällakum) may warm yourselves (Tas'toluun)."
﴾ 30 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he came to it (Ataa-haa), he was called (Nuudiya) from (Min) the right (El'Ai'mani) coast (Shaati'i) of the valley (El'Waadi) at (Fii) the blessed (El'Mubaarakati) spot (El'Buq'äti) of (Mina) the tree (Shajarati) that (An), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), indeed (Innii) I am (Anaa) GOD (Ellahu), LORD (Rabbu) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin)."
 ﴾ 31 ﴿ And (Wa) that (An'), "Throw (Al'qi) your staff (Äsoa-ka)."
