The Stone سُورَةُ الحِجۡرِ
﴾ ١ ﴿ الۤرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِینࣲ
﴾ 1 ﴿
A (Alif), L (Laam), R (Ra): These (Til'ka) are signs (symbols) (Aayaatu) of the Book (El'Kitaabi) and (Wa) a clear (Mubiin) reading (Qur'aanin).
﴾ ٢ ﴿ رُّبَمَا یَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ مُسۡلِمِینَ
﴾ 2 ﴿
Perhaps (Rubamaa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') will wish (Yawaddu) they had been (Law' Kaanu') submitters (Mus'limiin).
﴾ ٣ ﴿ ذَرۡهُمۡ یَأۡكُلُوا۟ وَیَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَیُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ
﴾ 3 ﴿
Leave them (Zar'hum) to eat (Ya'kulu') and (Wa) enjoy themselves (Yatamattau') and let them be amused by (Yal'hi-himu) desire (hope) (El'Amalu), for (Fa) they will (Saw'fa) find out (Ya'lamuun).
﴾ ٤ ﴿ وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ
﴾ 4 ﴿
And (Wa) We do not (Maa) annihilate (Ah'lak'naa) a (Min) town (Qar'yatin) except (illa) while (Wa) it had (Lahaa) a known (fixed) (Ma'luum) decree (Kitaabun).
﴾ ٥ ﴿ مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا یَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
﴾ 5 ﴿
No (Maa Min') nation (Ummatin) will precede (Tas'biqu) its term (Ajala-haa), nor (Wamaa) will they be delayed (Yas'ta'khiruun).
﴾ ٦ ﴿ وَقَالُوا۟ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِی نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ
﴾ 6 ﴿
And (Wa) they say (Qaalu'), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) to (Älai'hi) whom (Ellazii) the Remembrance (Ez'Zik'ru) has been revealed (Nuzzila); indeed, you (s) (Innaka) are (La) a madman (Maj'nuun).
﴾ ٧ ﴿ لَّوۡ مَا تَأۡتِینَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ
﴾ 7 ﴿
"Why do you not (Law' Maa) come to us (Ta'tii-naa) with (Bi) the Angels (El'Malaaikati), if (In) you (s) should be (Kunta) of (Mina) the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)?"
﴾ ٨ ﴿ مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوۤا۟ إِذࣰا مُّنظَرِینَ
﴾ 8 ﴿
We do not (Maa) send down (Nunazzilu) the Angels (El'Malaaikata) except (illa) for the truth (Bil' Haqqi); and (Wa) they (the disbelievers) will (Kaanu') not (Maa) then (Izaan) be respited (Munzoriin).
﴾ ٩ ﴿ إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ
﴾ 9 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), We (Nah'nu) brought down (Nazzal'naa) the Remembrance (16:44) (Ez'Zik'ra), and (Wa) indeed, We (Inna) are (La) its preservers (Haafizuun La-hu).
﴾ ١٠ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِی شِیَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ
﴾ 10 ﴿
And (Wa) We had certainly (Laqad') sent (Ar'sal'naa) before you (s) (Min Qab'li-ka) to (Fii) the past (El'Awwaliin) communities (Shiyae).
﴾ ١١ ﴿ وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
﴾ 11 ﴿
And (Wa) no (Maa Min) messenger (Rasuulin) came to them (Ya'tii-him) except (illa) they (Kaanu') ridiculed him (Yas'tah'ziuun Bi-hi).
﴾ ١٢ ﴿ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ
﴾ 12 ﴿
Thus (Kazaalika) have We proceeded it (Nas'luku-hu) in (Fii) the hearts (Quluubi) of the criminals (El'Muj'rimiin).
﴾ ١٣ ﴿ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ
﴾ 13 ﴿
They will not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuuna) in it (Bihi), while (Wa) the example (Sunnatu) of the predecessors (El'Awwaliin) has already (Qad') passed (Khalat').
﴾ ١٤ ﴿ وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِیهِ یَعۡرُجُونَ
﴾ 14 ﴿
Even if (Walaw') We opened (Fatah'naa) a gate (Baaban) for them (Älai'him) from (Mina) the heaven (Es'Samaai) and (Fa) they continued (Zollu') therein (Fiihi), ascending (Ya'rujuun),
﴾ ١٥ ﴿ لَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَـٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
﴾ 15 ﴿
they would (La) say (Qaaluu'), "Our eyesight (Ab'soaru-naa) has only (Innamaa) been intoxicated (Sukkirat'). In fact (Bal'), we (Nah'nu) are a people (Qaw'mun) bewitched (Mas'huuruun)."
﴾ ١٦ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ بُرُوجࣰا وَزَیَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ
﴾ 16 ﴿
And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') placed (Jaäl'naa) constellations (25:61) (Buruujan) in (Fii) the sky (Es'Samaai) and (Wa) adorned it (Zayyannaa-haa) for the observers (Lin' Naaziriin).
﴾ ١٧ ﴿ وَحَفِظۡنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمٍ
﴾ 17 ﴿
And (Wa) We have protected it (Hafiz'naa-haa) from (Min) every (Kulli) rejected (Rajiim) devil (Shai'toanin)
﴾ ١٨ ﴿ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ مُّبِینࣱ
﴾ 18 ﴿
but (illa) whoever (Mani) eavesdrops (Es'taraqa) to listen (Es'Sam'ä), then (Fa) a clear (Mubiin) meteor (Shihaabun) will pursue him (At'baä-hu).
﴾ ١٩ ﴿ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَـٰهَا وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ مَّوۡزُونࣲ
﴾ 19 ﴿
As for (Wa) the earth (El'Ar'do), We have spread it out (Madad'naa-haa) and (Wa) cast (Al'qai'naa) anchors (mountains) (Rawaasiya) therein (Fiihaa) and germinated (Anbat'naa) a balance (Maw'zuun) of (Min) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in) therein (Fiiha).
﴾ ٢٠ ﴿ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِیهَا مَعَـٰیِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَ ٰزِقِینَ
﴾ 20 ﴿
And (Wa) We have made (Jaäl'naa) livelihood (Ma'ääyisha) for you (p) (Lakum) therein (Fiihaa) as well as (Wa) for (Lahu) those (Man) you are not (Las'tum' Bi) providers (Raaziqiin).
﴾ ٢١ ﴿ وَإِن مِّن شَیۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَاۤىِٕنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥۤ إِلَّا بِقَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ
﴾ 21 ﴿
And (Wa) there is not (In) a (Min) thing (Shai'in) except (illa) its treasures (Khazaa'inu-hu) are with Us (Endanaa), and We do not (Wamaa) send it down (Nunazzilu-hu) except (illa) by (Bi) a fixed (Ma'luum) measure (Qadarin).
﴾ ٢٢ ﴿ وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ لَوَ ٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُمُوهُ وَمَاۤ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَـٰزِنِینَ
﴾ 22 ﴿
And (Wa) We send (Ar'sal'naa) the winds (Er'Riyaaha) as pollens (Lawaaqiha) then (Fa) We send down (Anzal'naa) water (Maa'an) from (Mina) the sky (Es'Samaai) to (Fa) give you drink from it (16:10) (As'qai'naa-kumuu-hu), and (Wa) you are (Antum) not (Maa Bi) its reservoir keepers (Khaaziniin La-hu).
﴾ ٢٣ ﴿ وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡیِۦ وَنُمِیتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَ ٰرِثُونَ
﴾ 23 ﴿
And (Wa) indeed (Inna), it is (La) We (Nah'nu) who give life (Nuh'yii) and (Wa) cause death (Numiitu), and (Wa) We (Nah'nu) are the inheritors (El'Waarithuun).
﴾ ٢٤ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِینَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِینَ
﴾ 24 ﴿
And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') know (Älim'naa) those summoned (El'Mustaq'dimiina) among you (Minkum), and (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') know (Älim'naa) those delayed (El'Mus'ta'khiriin).
﴾ ٢٥ ﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ یَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ
﴾ 25 ﴿
And (Wa) indeed (Inna), your LORD (Rabba-ka) will assemble them (Yah'shuru-hum’). Indeed, HE (Innahu) is Wise (Hakiimun) and Omniscient (Äliim).
﴾ ٢٦ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ
﴾ 26 ﴿
And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') created (Khalaq'naa) the human being (El' Insaana) from (Min) argil (Sol'soalin) of (Min') an aged (Mas'nuun) mud (Hamain).
﴾ ٢٧ ﴿ وَٱلۡجَاۤنَّ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
﴾ 27 ﴿
As for (Wa) the jinn (55:15) (El'Jaanna), We created him (Khalaq'naa-hu) earlier (Min Qab'lu) from (Min) the hot flame (Es'Samuum) of fire (Naari).
﴾ ٢٨ ﴿ وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنِّی خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰا مِّن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ
﴾ 28 ﴿
And (Wa) when (Iz') your LORD (Rabbu-ka) said to (Qaala Li) the Angels (El'Malaaikati), "Indeed, I (Innii) will create (Khaaliqu) a human (Basharan) from (Min) argil (Sol'soalin) of (Min') an aged (Mas'nuun) mud (Hama-in).
﴾ ٢٩ ﴿ فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ
﴾ 29 ﴿
"And (Fa) when (Izaa) I have organized him (Sawwai'tu-hu) and (Wa) blown (Nafakh'tu) into him (Fiihi) from (Min) MY spirit (Ruuhii), then (Fa) fall down (Qau') before him (Lahu) in prostration (Saajidiin)."
﴾ ٣٠ ﴿ فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
﴾ 30 ﴿
So (Fa) the Angels (El'Malaaikatu) prostrated (Sajada); all of them (Kulluhum’) entirely (Aj'mauun),
﴾ ٣١ ﴿ إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ أَبَىٰۤ أَن یَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ
﴾ 31 ﴿
except (illaa) Lucifer (2:34) (Ib'liisa), he refused (Abaa) to (An) be (Yakuuna) with (Maä) those who prostrated (Es'Saajidiin).
﴾ ٣٢ ﴿ قَالَ یَـٰۤإِبۡلِیسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ
﴾ 32 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Lucifer (Ib'liisu), why (Maa Laka) are you (Takuuna) not (Alla) with (Maä) those who prostrated (Es'Saajidiin)?"
﴾ ٣٣ ﴿ قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ
﴾ 33 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "I am (Akun) not (Lam') to (Li) prostrate (As'juda) to (Li) a human (15:28) (Basharin) whom YOU have created (Khalaq'ta-hu) from (Min) argil (Sol'soalin) of (Min') an aged (Mas'nuun) mud (Hamain)."
﴾ ٣٤ ﴿ قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ
﴾ 34 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) get out of it (Ekh'ruj' Min'haa); for (Fa) indeed, you (Lucifer) (Innaka) are cursed (Rajiim).
﴾ ٣٥ ﴿ وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ
﴾ 35 ﴿
"Indeed (Inna), upon you (Älai'ka) is the curse (33:64) (Ella'nata) until (ilaa) the Day (Yaw'mi) of Judgement (Ed'Diin)."
﴾ ٣٦ ﴿ قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ
﴾ 36 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), then (Fa) respite me (Anzir'nii) until (ilaa) the day (Yaw'mi) they are resurrected (Yab'äthuun)." (40:60)
﴾ ٣٧ ﴿ قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ
﴾ 37 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) indeed, you (s) (Innaka) are of (Mina) the respited (El'Munzoriin)
﴾ ٣٨ ﴿ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
﴾ 38 ﴿
until (ilaa) the day (Yaw'mi) of the fixed (El'Ma'luum) time (El'Waq'ti)." (38:80-81)
﴾ ٣٩ ﴿ قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَغۡوَیۡتَنِی لَأُزَیِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 39 ﴿
He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), for what (Bimaa) YOU have trapped me (Ag'wai'tanii), I will (La) adorn (Uzayyinanna) to them (Lahum) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di), and (Wa) I will (La) mislead them (Ug'wiyanna-hum) all (Aj'maeen),
﴾ ٤٠ ﴿ إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ
﴾ 40 ﴿
except (illa) YOUR (-ka) sincere (El'Mukh'lasiin) servants (Ebaada-) among them (Min'humu)." (38:83)
﴾ ٤١ ﴿ قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطٌ عَلَیَّ مُسۡتَقِیمٌ
﴾ 41 ﴿
HE (God) said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) path (Siraatun) to ME (Älayya) is straight (Mus'taqiim). (6:153)
﴾ ٤٢ ﴿ إِنَّ عِبَادِی لَیۡسَ لَكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِینَ
﴾ 42 ﴿
"Indeed (Inna), you (Lucifer) have no (Lai'sa Laka) authority (Sul'toanun) over (Älai'him') MY servants (Ebaadii), except (illa) those who (Mani) follow you (Ettabaä-ka) of (Mina) the misleaders (the strayers) (El'Gaawiin). (16:99-100)
﴾ ٤٣ ﴿ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 43 ﴿
"And (Wa) indeed (Inna), Hell (Jahannama) is (La) their appointment (Maw'edu-hum') all together (Aj'maeen).
﴾ ٤٤ ﴿ لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَ ٰبࣲ لِّكُلِّ بَابࣲ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءࣱ مَّقۡسُومٌ
﴾ 44 ﴿
"It (Hell) has (Lahaa) seven (Sab'ätu) gates (Ab'waabin); for (Li) each (Kulli) gate (Baabin) is a divided (Maq'suum) section (Juz'un) of them (Min'hum')."
﴾ ٤٥ ﴿ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ
﴾ 45 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Muttaqiina) will be in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin) with (Wa) springs (spring water) (Uyuun).
﴾ ٤٦ ﴿ ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِینَ
﴾ 46 ﴿
"Enter it (Ed'khuluu-haa) in (Bi) peace (Salaamin) and security (Aaminiin)."
﴾ ٤٧ ﴿ وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِی صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَ ٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِینَ
﴾ 47 ﴿
And (Wa) We will remove (Naza'naa) what (Maa) is in (Fii) their bosoms (Suduuri-him) of (Min') rancour (Gillin) as brethren (Ikh'waanan), on (Älaa) alternating (Mutaqaabiliin) couches (Sururin).
﴾ ٤٨ ﴿ لَا یَمَسُّهُمۡ فِیهَا نَصَبࣱ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِینَ
﴾ 48 ﴿
No (Laa) exhaustion (Nasabun) will touch them (Yamassu-hum') therein (Fiihaa), nor (Wamaa Bi) will they (Hum) be ousted (Mukh'rajiin) from it (Min'haa).
﴾ ٤٩ ﴿ ۞ نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِیۤ أَنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ
﴾ 49 ﴿
“Inform (Nabbi') MY servants (Ebaadii) that (Annii) I am (Anaa) the FORGIVING (El' Gafuuru), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).
﴾ ٥٠ ﴿ وَأَنَّ عَذَابِی هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِیمُ
﴾ 50 ﴿
“And (Wa) that (Anna) MY punishment (Äzaabii) is (Huwa) a painful (El'Aliim) punishment (El'Äzaabu).”
﴾ ٥١ ﴿ وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَیۡفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ
﴾ 51 ﴿
And (Wa) inform them (Nabbi'hum) about (Än) the guests (Doi'fi) of Abraham (Ib'raahiim),
﴾ ٥٢ ﴿ إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ
﴾ 52 ﴿
when (Iz') they entered (Dakhalu') to him (Älai'hi) and (Fa) said (Qaalu'), "Peace (Salaaman)." He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Indeed, we (Innaa) are afraid (Wajiluun) of you (Minkum')."
﴾ ٥٣ ﴿ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِیمࣲ
﴾ 53 ﴿
They (the guests) said (Qaalu'), "Do not (Laa) be afraid (Taw'jal'). Indeed (Innaa), we give you good news (Nubasshiru-ka) of (Bi) an erudite (Äliim) boy (Gulaamin)." (37:112)
﴾ ٥٤ ﴿ قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِی عَلَىٰۤ أَن مَّسَّنِیَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
﴾ 54 ﴿
He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "Do you give me good news (A'basshir'tumuunii) even though (Älaa An) old age (El'Kibaru) has touched me (Massaniya)? And for what (Fabima) do you make announcement (Tubasshiruun)?
﴾ ٥٥ ﴿ قَالُوا۟ بَشَّرۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَـٰنِطِینَ
﴾ 55 ﴿
They (the guests) said (Qaalu'), "We have given you good news (Basshar'naa-ka) in truth (Bil' Haqqi), so (Fa) do not (Laa) be of (Mina) the despaired (despondent) (El'Qaanitiin)."
﴾ ٥٦ ﴿ قَالَ وَمَن یَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦۤ إِلَّا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ
﴾ 56 ﴿
He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "And (Wa) who (Man) despairs (Yaq'natu) of (Min) the mercy (Rah'mati) of his LORD (Rabbi-hi) if not (illa) the strayers (Ed'Doalluun)?"
﴾ ٥٧ ﴿ قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
﴾ 57 ﴿
He (Abraham) said (Qaala), "So (Fa) what (Maa) is your affair (Khat'bu-kum'), O you (Ayyuhaa) messengers (El'Mur'saluun)?"
﴾ ٥٨ ﴿ قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ
﴾ 58 ﴿
They said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Innaa), We have been sent (Ur'sil'naa) to (ilaa) a criminal (Muj'rimiin) people (Qaw'min),
﴾ ٥٩ ﴿ إِلَّاۤ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 59 ﴿
except (illa) the family (Aala) of Lot (Luutin); indeed (Innaa), we will (La) rescue them (Munajjuu-hum') all (Aj'maeen),
﴾ ٦٠ ﴿ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَاۤ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ
﴾ 60 ﴿
but (illa) his wife (Em'ra'ata-hu); We have destined (Qaddar'naa) that she (Innahaa) will be among (Lamina) those passed away (El'Gaabiriin)."
﴾ ٦١ ﴿ فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
﴾ 61 ﴿
And (Fa) when (Lammaa) the messengers (El'Mur'saluun) came (Jaa'a) to the family (Aala) of Lot (Luutin),
﴾ ٦٢ ﴿ قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّنكَرُونَ
﴾ 62 ﴿
he (Lot) said (Qaala), "Indeed, you (Innakum') are a strange (Munkaruun) people (Qaw'mun)."
﴾ ٦٣ ﴿ قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ جِئۡنَـٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ فِیهِ یَمۡتَرُونَ
﴾ 63 ﴿
They (the messengers) said (Qaalu'), "In fact (Bal'), We have brought you (Ji'naa-ka Bi) what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') disputing (Yam'taruun) about (Fiihi).
﴾ ٦٤ ﴿ وَأَتَیۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ
﴾ 64 ﴿
"And (Wa) We have brought you (Atai'naa-ka Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi); for (Wa) indeed, we (Innaa) are (La) truthful (Soadiquun).
﴾ ٦٥ ﴿ فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَـٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا یَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدࣱ وَٱمۡضُوا۟ حَیۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ
﴾ 65 ﴿
"So (Fa) travel with (As'ri Bi) your family (Ah'li-ka) in (Bi) a portion (Qit'en) of (Mina) the night (Ellai'li) and (Wa) follow (Ettabi') behind them (Ad'baara-hum) and (Wa) let (Yal') none (Laa Ahadun) of you (Minkum') turn around (-tafit'), but (Wa) continue (Em'du') to where (Hai'thu) you are commanded (Tu'maruun)."
﴾ ٦٦ ﴿ وَقَضَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ مَقۡطُوعࣱ مُّصۡبِحِینَ
﴾ 66 ﴿
So (Wa) We issued (Qadoi'naa) that (Zaalika) to him (ilai'hi) of the command (El'Am'ra) that (Anna) the root (Daabira) of these people (Haaulaai) will be severed (Maq'tuu'un) early in the morning (Mus'bihiin).
﴾ ٦٧ ﴿ وَجَاۤءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ یَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
﴾ 67 ﴿
And (Wa) the people (Ah'lu) of the city (El'Madiinati) came (Jaa'a) rejoicing (Yas'tab'shiruun).
﴾ ٦٨ ﴿ قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ضَیۡفِی فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ
﴾ 68 ﴿
He (Lot) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) are my guests (Doi'fii); so (Fa) do not (Laa) disgrace me (Taf'dohuuni).
﴾ ٦٩ ﴿ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ
﴾ 69 ﴿
"So (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha) and (Wa) do not (Laa) humiliate me (Tukh'zuuni)."
﴾ ٧٠ ﴿ قَالُوۤا۟ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ
﴾ 70 ﴿
They (p) said (Qaaluu'), "Did we not (Awalam') forbid you (s) (Nan'ha-ka) from (Äni) all people (El'Äälamiin)?"
﴾ ٧١ ﴿ قَالَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ بَنَاتِیۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَـٰعِلِینَ
﴾ 71 ﴿
He (Lot) said (Qaala), "These (Haaulaai) are my daughters (Banaatii), if (In) you would (Kuntum') react (Faaeliin)."
﴾ ٧٢ ﴿ لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِی سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ
﴾ 72 ﴿
By (La) your life (Lot’s) (Äm'ru-ka), indeed they (Innahum') were in (Lafii) their intoxication (Sak'rati-him'), straying (Ya'mahuun).
﴾ ٧٣ ﴿ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِینَ
﴾ 73 ﴿
So (Fa) the blast (Es'Soi'hatu) seized them (Akhazat'humu) by sunrise (Mush'riqiin).
﴾ ٧٤ ﴿ فَجَعَلۡنَا عَـٰلِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّیلٍ
﴾ 74 ﴿
And (Fa) We made (Jaäl'naa) its high part (Ääliya-haa) become its base (Saafila-haa) and (Wa) showered (Am'tor'naa) stones (Hijaaratan) of (Min) shales (Sijjiil) upon them (Älai'him').
﴾ ٧٥ ﴿ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَـَٔایَـٰتࣲ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِینَ
﴾ 75 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), there are (La) signs (Aayaatin) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for those who scrutinize (Lil' Mutaqassimiin).
﴾ ٧٦ ﴿ وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِیلࣲ مُّقِیمٍ
﴾ 76 ﴿
For (Wa) indeed, they (Innahaa) were (La) on (Bi) a permanent (Muqiim) way (Sabiilin).
﴾ ٧٧ ﴿ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَـَٔایَةࣰ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ
﴾ 77 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), there is (La) a sign (Aayatan) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin).
﴾ ٧٨ ﴿ وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأَیۡكَةِ لَظَـٰلِمِینَ
﴾ 78 ﴿
And (Wa) indeed (In), the companions (As'haabu) of the jungle (Midian) (El'Ai'kati) were (Kaana) also (La) transgressors (Zoalimiin).
﴾ ٧٩ ﴿ فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامࣲ مُّبِینࣲ
﴾ 79 ﴿
So (Fa) We took vengeance on them (Entaqam'naa), for (Wa) indeed, both of them (Innahumaa) were (La) in (Bi) a clear (Mubiin) index (17:71) (Imaamin).
﴾ ٨٠ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ
﴾ 80 ﴿
And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') the companions (As'haabu) of the stone (El'Hij'ri)* denied (Kazzaba) the messengers (El'Mur'saliin).
﴾ ٨١ ﴿ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَا فَكَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ
﴾ 81 ﴿
For (Wa) We gave them (Aatai'naa-hum') Our signs (Aayaati-naa), but (Fa) they were (Kaanu') turning away (Mu'ridiin) from them (Än'haa).
﴾ ٨٢ ﴿ وَكَانُوا۟ یَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُیُوتًا ءَامِنِینَ
﴾ 82 ﴿
And (Wa) they used to (Kaanu') engrave (Yanhituuna) safe (Aaminiin) houses (Buyuutan) out of (Mina) the mountains (El'Jibaali).
﴾ ٨٣ ﴿ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِینَ
﴾ 83 ﴿
Consequently (Fa), the blast (Es'Soi'hatu) seized them (Akhazat'humu) early in the morning (Mus'bihiin).
﴾ ٨٤ ﴿ فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ
﴾ 84 ﴿
And (Fa) what (Maa) they used to (Kaanu') earn (Yak'sibuun) did not (Maa) avail them (Ag'naa Än'hum).
﴾ ٨٥ ﴿ وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَـَٔاتِیَةࣱۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِیلَ
﴾ 85 ﴿
And (Wa) We did not (Maa) create (Khalaq'naa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) and whatever (Wamaa) is between them (Bai'nahumaa) except (illa) for the truth (Bil' Haqqi). And (Wa) indeed (Inna), the Hour (Es'Saa'äta) is (La) coming (Atiyatun); so (Fa) condone (Es'fahi) with a beautiful (El'Jamiila) condonation (Es'Sof'ha).
﴾ ٨٦ ﴿ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ
﴾ 86 ﴿
Indeed (Inna), your LORD (s) (Rabba-ka) is (Huwa) the CREATIVE (El' Khallaaqu), the OMNISCIENT (El' Äliim).
﴾ ٨٧ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰكَ سَبۡعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِی وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِیمَ
﴾ 87 ﴿
And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') given you (s) (Aatai'naa-ka) seven (Sab'än) of (Mina) the repeated (El'Mathaanii) and (Wa) the Great (El'Äziim) Koran (El'Qur'aana).
﴾ ٨٨ ﴿ لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَیۡنَیۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ
﴾ 88 ﴿
Do not (Laa) extend (Tamuddanna) your eyes (s) (Äi'nai'ka) toward (ilaa) what (Maa) We have (-naa) caused kinds (Az'waajan) of them (Min'hum') to enjoy (-Matta'-) thereby (Bihi), and (Wa) do not (Laa) grieve (Tah'zan') over them (Älai'him'). And (Wa) lower (Ekh'fid') your flank (Janaaha-ka) to the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin).
﴾ ٨٩ ﴿ وَقُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِیرُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ
﴾ 89 ﴿
And (Wa) say (Qul'): "Indeed (Innii), I am (Anaa) a clear (El'Mubiin) warner (En'Naziiru),"
﴾ ٩٠ ﴿ كَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِینَ
﴾ 90 ﴿
just as (Kamaa) We have revealed (Anzal'naa) to (Älaa) the divisive people (El'Muq'tasimiin),
﴾ ٩١ ﴿ ٱلَّذِینَ جَعَلُوا۟ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِینَ
﴾ 91 ﴿
the ones who (Ellaziina) have made (Jaälu') replacements (Ediin) of the Koran (El'Qur'aana).
﴾ ٩٢ ﴿ فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ
﴾ 92 ﴿
Therefore (Fa) by (Wa) your LORD (s) (Rabbu-ka), We will (La) question them (Nas'alannahum) all (Aj'maeen)
﴾ ٩٣ ﴿ عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ
﴾ 93 ﴿
about what (Ämmaa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Ya'maluun).
﴾ ٩٤ ﴿ فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ
﴾ 94 ﴿
So (Fa) expose clearly (Es'da') what (Bimaa) you are commanded (Tu'maru) and (Wa) turn away (A'rid') from (Äni) the polytheists (El'Mush'rikiin).
﴾ ٩٥ ﴿ إِنَّا كَفَیۡنَـٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِینَ
﴾ 95 ﴿
Indeed (Innaa), We will spare you (s) (Kafai'naa-ka) the mockers (El'Mus'tah'zi'iin),
﴾ ٩٦ ﴿ ٱلَّذِینَ یَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ
﴾ 96 ﴿
who (Ellaziina) assign (Yaj'äluuna) another (Aakhara) god (ilaahan) with the GOD (Maällahi); but (Fa) they will (Saw'fa) find out (Ya'lamuun).
﴾ ٩٧ ﴿ وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ یَضِیقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا یَقُولُونَ
﴾ 97 ﴿
And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') know (Na'lamu) that (Annaka) your bosom (s) (Sod'ru-ka) will be troubled (Yadiiqu) by what (Bimaa) they say (Yaquuluun).
﴾ ٩٨ ﴿ فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ
﴾ 98 ﴿
So (Fa) glorify (Sabbih') with (Bi) praise (Ham'di) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka) and (Wa) be (Kun) of (Mina) those who prostrate (Es'Saajidiin),
﴾ ٩٩ ﴿ وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَكَ ٱلۡیَقِینُ
﴾ 99 ﴿
and (Wa) worship (E'bud') your LORD (Rabba-ka) until (Hattaa) the certainty (56:95) (El'Yaqiin) comes to you (s) (Ya'tiya-ka).
