The Covered Fellow

 ﴾ 1 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) Covered fellow (El'Muzzammil)*,
﴾ 2 ﴿ get up (Qumi) at night (Ellai'la) for a while (illa Qaliilaa),
 ﴾ 3 ﴿ half of it 1 (Nis'fa-hu) or (Awi) decrease (Enqus') a little (Qaliilaa) from it 2 (Min'hu)
﴾ 4 ﴿ or (Aw') exceed (Zid') over it 3 (Älai'hi), and (Wa) intonate (Rattili) the Koran (El'Qur'aana) by chanting (25:32) (Tar'tiilaa).
 ﴾ 5 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), We will cast upon you (s) (Sa Nul'qii Älai'ka) a heavy (Thaqiilaa) word (Qaw'lan).
﴾ 6 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), the rising (Naashiata) at night (Ellai'li) is (Hiya) more (Ashaddu) stressing (Wat'aan) and (Wa) more appropriately (Aq'wamu) stated (Qiilaa).
﴾ 7 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), you have (s) (Laka) occupation (Sab'haan) at length (Towiilaa) in (Fii) the daytime (En'Nahaari),
﴾ 8 ﴿ but (Wa) commemorate (Ez'kuri) the name (Es'ma) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka) and (Wa) be devoted (Tab'ttal’) to HIM (ilai'hi) with devotion (Tab'tiilaa).
﴾ 9 ﴿ LORD (Rabbu) of the east (El'Mash'riqi) and the west (Wal' Mag'ribi); there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), so (Fa) take HIM (Ettakhiz'hu) as a Representative (Wakiilaa).
﴾ 10 ﴿ And (Wa) be patient (Es'bir') over (Älaa) what (Maa) they say (Yaquuluuna) and avoid them (Eh'jur'hum) with a beautiful (Jamiilaa) avoidance (Haj'raan).
﴾ 11 ﴿ “And (Wa) leave ME (Zar'nii) with (Wa) the deniers (El'Mukazzibiina) those (U'lii) of pleasure (En'Na'mati), and respite them (Mahhil'hum’) for a while (Qaliilaa).”
﴾ 12 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), with Us (Ladai'naa) are shackles (Ankaalan) and (Wa) hellfire (Jahiimaa)
 ﴾ 13 ﴿ as well as (Wa) food (To’äämaan) that (Zaa) suffocates (Gussotin) and (Wa) a painful (Aliimaa) punishment (Äzaabaan);
﴾ 14 ﴿ on the day (Yaw'ma) the earth (El'Ar'du) and (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaalu) will tremble (Tar'jufu), and the mountains (El'Jibaalu) will become (Kaanati) a piled up (Mahiilaa) dune (Kathiibaan).
﴾ 15 ﴿ Indeed (Innaa), We have sent (Ar'sal'naa) a messenger (62:2) (Rasuulan) to you (p) (ilai'kum) witnessing (Shaahidan) over you (Älai'kum’) as (Kamaa) We sent (Ar'sal'naa) a messenger (Rasuulan) to (ilaa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na),
﴾ 16 ﴿ but (Fa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'nu) disobeyed (Äsoaa) the messenger (7:103) (Er'Rasuula), so (Fa) We seized him (Akhaz'naa-hu) with an evil (Wabiilaa) seizure (Akh'zaan).
﴾ 17 ﴿ So (Fa) how (Kai'fa) can you be pious (Tattaquuna), if (In) you disbelieve (Kafar'tum) a day (Yaw'man) that will make (Yaj'älu) children (El'Wil'daana) become old (Shiibaa)?
﴾ 18 ﴿ The sky (Es'Samaau) will be broken apart (Munfatiru) by it (Bihi); its promise (Wa'du-hu) will be (Kaana) effective (Maf'uulaa).
﴾ 19 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), this (Haazihi) is a reminder (Taz'kiratun), so (Fa) whoever (Man) wills (Shaa'a) should take (Ettakhaza) a way (Sabiilaa) to (ilaa) his LORD (Rabbi-hi). (76:29)
﴾ 20 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), your LORD (Rabba-ka) knows (Ya'lamu) that you (s) (Annaka) get up (Taquumu) less (Ad'naa) than (Min) two-thirds 1 (Thuluthayi) of the night (Ellai'li), half of it 2 (Nis'fa-hu) and (Wa) one-third of it 3 (Thulutha-hu), and so do (Wa) a faction (Toa'ifatun) of (Mina) those (Ellaziina) with you (Maäka). GOD (Ellahu) has estimated (Yuqaddiru) the night (Ellai'la) and the day (En'Nahaara). HE knows (Älima) that (An) you may never (Lan) calculate it (Tuh'suu-hu), so (Fa) HE has forgiven you (the believers) (Taaba Älai'kum), therefore (Fa) read (Eq'rau') what (Maa) is easy (Tayassara) of (Mina) the Koran (El'Qur'aani). HE knows (Älima) that (An) some of you (Minkum) will be (Sa Yakuunu) sick (Mar'doa) and others (Aakharuuna) will be travelling (Yad'ribuuna) in (Fii) the land (El'Ar'di) seeking (Yab'taguuna) for (Min) the favour of GOD (Fad'li-llahi) while (Wa) others (Aakharuuna) will be fighting (Yuqaatiluuna) in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi). So (Fa) read (Eq'rau') what (Maa) is easy (Tayassara) from it (Min'hu) and establish (Aqiimu) the Litany (Es'Solaata) and (Wa) give (Aatu') the Charity (Ez'Zakaata), and lend GOD (Aq'ridu'llaha) a good (Hasana) loan (Qar'doan). And (Wa) whatever (Maa) you send forth (Tuqaddimu) for (Li) your souls (An'fusi-kum) of (Min) good (Khai'rin), you will find it (Tajiduu-hu) with GOD (Endallahi), which (Huwa) is better (Khai'ran) and (Wa) greater (A'zoma) in reward (Aj'raan). And (Wa) seek the forgiveness of GOD (Es'tag'firu'llaha); indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim). (Night Salat - 17:79 / 39:9 / 3:113)
