The Hypocrites سُورَةُ المُنَافِقُونَ
﴾ ١ ﴿ إِذَا جَاۤءَكَ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ قَالُوا۟ نَشۡهَدُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ یَشۡهَدُ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ
﴾ 1 ﴿
When (Izaa) the hypocrites (El'Munaafiquuna)* come to you (s) (Jaa'a-ka) they say (Qaalu'), "We testify (Nash'hadu) that you (Innaka) are (La) a messenger of GOD (Rasuulu-llahi)." And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) knows (Ya'lamu) that you (Innaka) are (La) HIS messenger (Rasuulu-hu), and (Wa) GOD testifies (Yash'hadu) that (Inna) the hypocrites (El'Munaafiqiina) are (La) liars (Kaazibuun). (4:79)
﴾ ٢ ﴿ ٱتَّخَذُوۤا۟ أَیۡمَـٰنَهُمۡ جُنَّةࣰ فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُمۡ سَاۤءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ
﴾ 2 ﴿
They have taken (Ettakhazuu') their oaths (Ai'maana-hum’) as a shield (58:16) (Junnatan), so (Fa) they turned away from (Soddu' Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi). Indeed, they (Innahum) were doing (Ya'maluun) what (Maa) was (Kaanu') evil (Saa'a).
﴾ ٣ ﴿ ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یَفۡقَهُونَ
﴾ 3 ﴿
That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum’) believed (Aamanu') and then (Thumma) disbelieved (Kafaru'); and (Fa) their hearts (Quluubi-him) have been sealed (Tubiä Älaa), so (Fa) they (Hum) do not (Laa) comprehend (Yaf'qahuun).
﴾ ٤ ﴿ ۞ وَإِذَا رَأَیۡتَهُمۡ تُعۡجِبُكَ أَجۡسَامُهُمۡۖ وَإِن یَقُولُوا۟ تَسۡمَعۡ لِقَوۡلِهِمۡۖ كَأَنَّهُمۡ خُشُبࣱ مُّسَنَّدَةࣱۖ یَحۡسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَیۡحَةٍ عَلَیۡهِمۡۚ هُمُ ٱلۡعَدُوُّ فَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡۚ قَـٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ أَنَّىٰ یُؤۡفَكُونَ
﴾ 4 ﴿
And (Wa) when (Izaa) you see them (Ra'ai'ta-hum’), their personalities (Aj'saamu-hum’) might please you (s) (Tu'jibu-ka), and (Wa) if (In) they speak (Yaquulu') you might listen (Tas'ma') to (Li) their speech (Qaw'li-him’), as if they (Ka'anna-hum) were propped (Musannadatun) timbers (Khushubun). They think (Yah'sabuuna) every (Kulla) shout (Soi'hatin) is against them (Älai'him). They (Humu) are the enemies (El'Äduwwu), so (Fa) beware of them (Eh'zar'hum’). GOD (Ellahu) opposes them (Qaatala-humu); how (Annaa) are they lying (Yu'fakuun)?
﴾ ٥ ﴿ وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡا۟ یَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ لَوَّوۡا۟ رُءُوسَهُمۡ وَرَأَیۡتَهُمۡ یَصُدُّونَ وَهُم مُّسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
﴾ 5 ﴿
When (Izaa) they are told (Qiila La-hum’), "Come (Ta'äälaw'), the messenger of GOD (Rasuulu-llahi) will seek forgiveness (Yas'tag'fir') for you (Lakum)," they bend (Lawwaw') their heads (Ru'uusa-hum’) and (Wa) you (s) see them (Ra'ai'ta-hum’) turning away (Yasudduuna) and (Wa) they (Hum) become arrogant (Mus'tak'biruun).
﴾ ٦ ﴿ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَسۡتَغۡفَرۡتَ لَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ لَن یَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَهۡدِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقِینَ
﴾ 6 ﴿
It is the same (Sawaaun) for them (Älai'him) whether you (s) seek forgiveness (-As'tag'fir'ta) for them (Lahum) or (Am') you do not (Lam') seek forgiveness (Tas'tag'fir') for them (Lahum), GOD (Ellahu) will never (Lan) forgive them (Yag'fira La-hum’). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) guide (Yah'dii) the immoral (El'Faasiqiin) people (El'Qaw'ma). (9:80)
﴾ ٧ ﴿ هُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَقُولُونَ لَا تُنفِقُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَنۡ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰ یَنفَضُّوا۟ۗ وَلِلَّهِ خَزَاۤىِٕنُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ لَا یَفۡقَهُونَ
﴾ 7 ﴿
They (the hypocrites) (Humu) are those who (Ellaziina) say (Yaqiiluuna), "Do not (Laa) spend on (Tunfiqu' Älaa) those who (Man') are with (Enda) the messenger of GOD (Rasuuli-llahi) until (Hattaa) they shake off (Yanfaddu')." And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) the treasures (17:100) (Khazaa’inu) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di), but (Walaakinna) the hypocrites (El'Munaafiqiina) do not (Laa) comprehend (Yaf'qahuun).
﴾ ٨ ﴿ یَقُولُونَ لَىِٕن رَّجَعۡنَاۤ إِلَى ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ لَیُخۡرِجَنَّ ٱلۡأَعَزُّ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡأَذَلَّۚ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ
﴾ 8 ﴿
They say (Yaquuluuna), "If (La'in) we return (Raja'naa) to (ilaa) Medina (El'Madiinati), the mightier ones (El'Aäzzu) will (La) expel (Yukh'rijanna) the subdued ones (El'Azalla) from it (Min'haa)." And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) the might (38:82) (El'Ezzatu), as well as (Wa) to (Li) HIS messenger (Rasuuli-hi) and to the believers (Lil' Mu'miniina), but (Walaakinna) the hypocrites (El'Munaafiqiina) do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun).
﴾ ٩ ﴿ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلۡهِكُمۡ أَمۡوَ ٰلُكُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَوۡلَـٰدُكُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن یَفۡعَلۡ ذَ ٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ
﴾ 9 ﴿
O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), let not (Laa) your wealth (Am'waali-kum) nor (Walaa) your children (Aw'laadu-kum) distract you (Tul'hi-kum) from (Än) the remembrance of GOD (57:16) (Zik'ri-llahi). And (Wa) whoever (Man) does (Yaf'äl') that (Zaalika), then (Fa) those (U'laaika) are (Humu) the losers (El'Khaasiruun).
﴾ ١٠ ﴿ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِن مَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن یَأۡتِیَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ فَیَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوۡلَاۤ أَخَّرۡتَنِیۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ قَرِیبࣲ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ
﴾ 10 ﴿
And (Wa) disburse (Anfiqu') from what (Min'mmaa) We have provided you (p) (Razaq'naa-kum) before (Min Qab'li An) death (El'Maw'tu) comes to (Ya'tiya) one of you (Ahada-kumu), then (Fa) he says (Yaquula), "LORD (Rabbi), why not (Law' Laa) delay me (Akkhar'ta-nii) to (ilaa) a nearby (Qariibin) term (Ajalin), then (Fa) I would give alms (Assoddaqa) and (Wa) be (Akun) among (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin)?"
﴾ ١١ ﴿ وَلَن یُؤَخِّرَ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسًا إِذَا جَاۤءَ أَجَلُهَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِیرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
﴾ 11 ﴿
And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) never (Lan) delays (Yu'k'khira) a soul (Naf'san) when (Izaa) its term (Ajalu-haa) has come (Jaa'a). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is conversant (Khabiiru) with what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluun).
