The Night Comer سُورَةُ الطَّارِقِ

  ١ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ
 ﴾ 1 ﴿ By (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaai) and (Wa) the night comer (Ettoariq)*.
  ٢ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ
 ﴾ 2 ﴿ And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is the night comer (Ettoariq)?
  ٣ النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
 ﴾ 3 ﴿ It is the piercing (Etthaaqib) star (En'Naj'mu).
  ٤ إِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ
 ﴾ 4 ﴿ If (In) every (Kullu) soul (Naf'sin) has no (Lammaa) guardian (Haafizu) over it (Alai'ha),
  ٥ فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
 ﴾ 5 ﴿ then let (Fal') the human being (El' Insaanu) observe (Yanzuri) from what (Mimma) he was created (Khuliq).
  ٦ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ دَافِقٍ
 ﴾ 6 ﴿ He was created (Khuliqa) from (Min) a spurting (Daafiq) liquid (water) (Maain),
  ٧ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ
 ﴾ 7 ﴿ coming out (Yakh'ruju) from (Min) between (Bai'ni) the spine (Es'Sul'bi) and (Wa) the ribs (Ettaraaib).
  ٨ إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ
 ﴾ 8 ﴿ Indeed, HE (God) (Innahu) is (La) able to (Qaadiru Älaa) bring him back (Raj'e-hi)
  ٩ يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ
 ﴾ 9 ﴿ on the day (Yaw'ma) the conscience (Es'Saraair) will be trialled (Tub'laa);
  ١٠ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
 ﴾ 10 ﴿ thence (Fa) he (the human) will have (Lahu) no (Maa Min) power (Quwwatin) or (Walaa) helper (Naasir).
  ١١ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ
 ﴾ 11 ﴿ By (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaai) self (Zaati) returning (Er'Raj'e),
  ١٢ وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ
 ﴾ 12 ﴿ and (Wa) the earth (El'Ar'di) self (Zaati) cracking (Es'Sod'e).
  ١٣ إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ
 ﴾ 13 ﴿ Indeed, it (Innahu) is (La) a decisive (Fas'lu) statement (Qaw'lun),
  ١٤ وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ
 ﴾ 14 ﴿ and (Wa) it (Huwa) is not (Maa Bi) a joke (El'Haz'l).
  ١٥ إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
 ﴾ 15 ﴿ Indeed, they (Innahum) are plotting (Yakiiduuna) a scheme (Kai'daa),
  ١٦ وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
 ﴾ 16 ﴿ but (Wa) I (God) have plotted (Akiidu) a scheme (Kai'daa).
  ١٧ فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا
 ﴾ 17 ﴿ So (Fa) respite (Mahhili) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriina); respite them (Am'hil'hum’) gently (Ruwai'da).
