The Assemblage

﴾ 1 ﴿ Whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and whatever (Wamaa) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) gives glory (Sabbaha) to GOD (Lillahi), and (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
﴾ 2 ﴿ HE (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) expelled (Akh'raja) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) from (Min) their homes (Diyaari-him) at (Li) the first (Awwali) assemblage (El'Hash'ri)*. And (Wa) you (p) did not (Maa) think (Zonantum) that (An) they would be expelled (Yakh'ruju'), and (Wa) that they (Annahum) thought (Zonnuu') their fortifications (Husuunu-hum) would protect them (Maaniätu-hum) from GOD (Minallahi); but (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) approached them(Ataa-humu) from (Min') where (Hai'thu) they had not (Lam') taken into consideration (Yah'tasibu'), and (Wa) HE threw (Qazafa) terror (Er'Ru'ba) into (Fii) their hearts (Quluubi-himu) as they demolished (Yukh'ribuuna) their houses (Buyuuta-hum) by (Bi) their hands (Ai'dii-him) and the hands (Ai'dii) of the believers (El'Mu'miniina). "So (Fa) consider (E'tabiru'), O (Yaa) those (U'lii) of eyesight (El'Ab'soar)."
﴾ 3 ﴿ And (Wa) if not (Law' Laa) that (An) GOD has decreed (Kataba-llahu) evacuation (El'Jalaa'a) for them (Älai'himu), HE would have (La) punished them (Äzzaba-hum’) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'yaa), but (Wa) they will have (Lahum) the punishment (Äzaabu) of the Fire (En'Naar) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).
﴾ 4 ﴿ That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum’) opposed GOD (Shaaqqu'llaha) and (Wa) HIS messenger (Rasuula-hu). And (Wa) whoever (Man) opposes (Yushaaqqi) GOD (Ellaha), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is severe (Shadiidu) in punishment (El'Eqaab).
﴾ 5 ﴿ Whatever (Maa) you have severed (Qata'tum) of (Min) palm trees (Liinatin) or (Aw') left it (Tarak'tumuu-ha) standing (Qaa’imatan) on (Älaa) it roots (Usuuli-ha); then (Fa) it was by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi) in order to (Li) disgrace (Yukh'ziya) the immoral (El'Faasiqiin).
﴾ 6 ﴿ As for (Wa) what (Maa) GOD (Ellahu) awarded to (Afaa'a Älaa) HIS messenger (Rasuuli-hi) from them (the disbelievers) (Min'hum); thus (Fa) you (p) shall not (Maa) be excited (Aw'jaf'tum) over such (Älai'hi) concerning (Min’) horses (Khai'lin) or (Walaa) riding camels (Rikaabin), however (Walaakinna) GOD (Ellaha) empowers (Yusallitu) HIS messengers (Rusula-hu) over (Älaa) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is capable of (Qadiir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).
﴾ 7 ﴿ Whatever (Maa) GOD (Ellahu) awarded to (Afaa'a Älaa) HIS messenger (Rasuuli-hi) from (Min') the people of the towns (8:41) (Ah'lil' Quraa); it thus (Fa) belong to GOD 1 (Lillahi) and (Wa) to the Messenger 2 (Lir’ Rasuuli) and to (Li) the relatives 3 (Ziil' Qur'baa), the orphans 4 (El'Yataamaa), the poor people 5 (El'Masaakiini) and the wayfarer 6 (Eb'ni Es'Sabiili), so that it will not (Kai' Laa) be (Yakuuna) rotated (Duulata) between (Bai'na) the rich (El'Ag'niyaai) among you (Minkum). And (Wa) whatever (Maa) the Messenger (Er'Rasuulu) gives you (Aataa-kumu), then (Fa) take it (Khuzuu-hu); and whatever (Wamaa) he forbids you from (Nahaa-kum’ Än’hu), then (Fa) refrain from it (Entahu' Än'hu) and beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llahi). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is severe (Shadiidu) in punishment (El'Eqaab).
﴾ 8 ﴿ For (Lil’) the needy (Fuqaraai) emigrants 7 (El’Muhaajiriin) who (Ellaziina) were expelled (Ukh'riju') from (Min) their homes (Diyaari-him) and (Wa) their properties (Am'waali-him), seeking (Yab'taquuna) the favour (Fad'lan) and approval (Rid'waanan) of GOD (Minallahi) while (Wa) supporting GOD (Yansuruuna-llaha) and HIS messenger (Rasuula-hu). Those (U'laaika) are (Humu) the truthful (Es'Soadiquun).
﴾ 9 ﴿ As well as (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) occupied (Tabawwauu) the home (Ed'Daara) and the faith (Wal' iimaana) before them 8 (Min Qab'li-him). They love (Yuhibbuuna) those who (Man') emigrated (Haajara) to them (ilai'him), and they do not (Walaa) find (Yajiduuna) in (Fii) their bosoms (Suduuri-him) the need (Haajatan) of what (Mimmaa) they were given (Uutu') but (Wa) they gave preference (Yu'thiruuna) over (Älaa) themselves (Anfusi-him), even though (Walaw') there was (Kaana) destitution (Khasoasot') in them (Bihim). And (Wa) whoever (Man) protects (Yuuqa) himself (Naf'si-hi) from stinginess (64:16) (Shuhha), then (Fa) they (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who will be the successful (El'Muf'lihuun).
﴾ 10 ﴿ Also (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) came (Jaauu) after them 9 (Min Ba'di-him), saying (Yaquuluuna), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), forgive us (Eg'fir' Lanaa) and our brethren (Li Ikh'waani-naa) who (Ellaziina) preceded us (Sabaquu-naa) in the faith (Bil' iimaani) and do not (Walaa) place (Taj'äl') rancour (Gillan) in (Fii) our hearts (Quluubi-naa) towards those who (Lillaziina) have believed (Aamanu'). Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed YOU (Innaka) are Kind (Rauufun) and Merciful (Rahiim)."
﴾ 11 ﴿ Have you not (Alam') considered (Tara ilaa) those who (Ellaziina) practiced hypocrisy (Naafaqu'), saying (Yaquuluuna) to (Li) their brethren (Ikh'waani-himu) who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaru') among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi), "If (La'in') you are expelled (Ukh'rij'tum), we will (La) leave (Nakh'rujanna) with you (p) (Maäkum), and (Wa) we will never (Laa Abadan) obey (Nutiiu) anyone (Ahadan) concerning you (Fiikum). And (Wa) if (In) you are fought (Quutil'tum) we will (La) support you (Nansuranna-kum’)." But (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) testifies (Yash'hadu) that they (Innahum) are (La) liars (Kaazibuun).
﴾ 12 ﴿ Indeed, if (La'in') they are expelled (Ukh'riju'), they would not (Laa) leave (Yakh'rujuuna) with them (Maähum), and (Wa) if (Lain) they are fought (Quutilu'), they would not (Laa) support them (Yansuruuna-hum’). And (Wa) if (La'in) they should support them (Nasoruu-hum) they would (La) turn (Yuwallunna) their backs (El'Ad'baara), then (Thumma) they would not (Laa) be supported (Yunsoruun).
﴾ 13 ﴿ You (the believers) (Antum) are (La) more (Ashaddu) frightening (Rah'batan) in (Fii) their bosoms (Suduuri-him) than GOD (Minallahi). That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum’) are a people (Qaw'mun) who do not (Laa) comprehend (Yaf'qahuun).
﴾ 14 ﴿ They will not (Laa) fight you (Yuqaatiluuna-kum’) all (Jamiiän) except (illa) within (Fii) fortified (Muhassonatin) towns (Qurran) or (Aw') behind (Min Waraai) walls (Juduri). Their might (Ba'su-hum) among themselves (Bai'nahum) is intense (Shadiidun). You might think they (Tah'sabu-hum) are together (Jamiiän), but (Wa) their hearts (Quluubu-hum) are diverse (Shattaa). That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum’) are a people (Qaw'mun) who do not (Laa) reason (Ya'qiluun).
﴾ 15 ﴿ Like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of those who (Ellaziina) were recent (Qariiba) before them (Min Qab'li-him’); they tasted (Zaaqu') the evil consequences (Wabaala) of their affair (Am'ri-him’), and (Wa) they will have (Lahum) a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun).
﴾ 16 ﴿ Like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of the devil (Es'Shai'toani), when (Iz') he says (Qaala) to (Li) the human being (El' Insaani), "Disbelieve (Ek'fur')," then (Fa) when (Lamma) he (the human) disbelieves (Kafara), he (Satan) says (Qaala), "Indeed, I am (Innii) free from you (Bariiun Min-ka), I am (Innii) afraid of GOD (Akhaafu-llaha), LORD (Rabba) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin)."
﴾ 17 ﴿ So (Fa) the end of both (Ääqibata-humaa) is (Kaana) that they (Annahuma) will be in (Fii) the Fire (En'Naari); eternally (Khalidai'ni) therein (Fiiha). And (Wa) that (Zaalika) is the requital (Jazaau') of the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).
﴾ 18 ﴿ O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha). And let (Wal') a soul (Naf'sun) observe (Tanzur') what (Maa) he has sent forth (Qaddamat') for (Li) tomorrow (Gadin), so (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is conversant (Khabiiru) with what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluun).
﴾ 19 ﴿ And (Wa) do not (Laa) be (Takuunu') like (Ka) those who (Ellaziina) forgot GOD (Nasu'llaha), so (Fa) HE made them forget (Ansaa-hum) themselves (Anfusa-hum’). They (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who are the immoral (El'Faasiquun).
﴾ 20 ﴿ Not (Laa) equal (Yas'tawii) are the Companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari) and (Wa) the Companions (As'haabu) of the Garden (El’Jannati). The Companions of the Garden (As'haabul' Jannati) are (Humu) the achievers (El'Faa'izuun).
﴾ 21 ﴿ If (Law') We had revealed (Anzal'naa) this (Haaza) Koran (El'Qur'aana) to (Älaa) a mountain (Jabalin), you would have (La) seen it (Ra'ai'ta-hu) humbly (Khaashi'än) cracking (Mutasoddi'än) from (Min') fear of GOD (Khash'yati-llahi). And (Wa) these (Til'ka) are examples (El'Am'thaalu) which We cite (Nad'ribu-haa) to the people (Lin' Naasi) perhaps they (Laällahum') will ponder (Yatafakkaruun).
﴾ 22 ﴿ HE (Huwa) is the GOD (Ellahu); whom (Ellazii) there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), Knower (Äälimu) of the unseen (El'Gai'bi) and (Wa) testimony (Es'Shahaadati); HE (Huwa) is the GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maanu), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim).
﴾ 23 ﴿ HE (Huwa) is the GOD (Ellahu); whom (Ellazii) there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), the KING 1 (El' Maliku), the HOLY 2 (El' Qudduusu), the PEACE 3 (Es' Salaamu), the BELIEVER 4 (El' Mu'minu), the DOMINANT 5 (El' Muhai'minu), the ALMIGHTY 6 (El' Äziizu), the TITANIC 7 (El' Jabbaaru), the OVERBEARING 8 (El' Mutakabbiru). Glory be to GOD (Sub'haana-llahi) above what (Ämmaa) they associate (idolize) (Yush'rikuun).
﴾ 24 ﴿ HE (Huwa) is the GOD 9 (Ellahu), the CREATOR 10 (El' Khaaliqu), the INITIATOR 11 (El' Baariu), the MAKER 12 (El' Musowwiru); to HIM belongs (Lahu) the best (El'Hus'naa) names (7:180) (El'As'maa'u). Whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) gives glory (Yusabbihu) to HIM (Lahu), for (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
