The Ants

﴾ 1 ﴿ T (To), S (Siin): These (Til'ka) are signs (symbols) (Aayaatu) of the Koran (El'Qur'aani) and (Wa) a clear (Mubiin) book (writing) (Kitaabin),
﴾ 2 ﴿ as guidance (Hudaan) and (Wa) good news (Bush'raa) for the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin),
﴾ 3 ﴿ who (Ellaziina) establish (Yuqiimuuna) the Litany (Es'Solaata) and (Wa) give (Yu'tuuna) the Charity (Ez'Zakaata), and (Wa) they (Hum) are certain (Yuuqinuun) of the hereafter (Bil' Aakhirati). (31:4)
﴾ 4 ﴿ Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) do not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuuna) in the hereafter (Bil' Aakhirati), We have adorned (Zayyanna) their deeds (A'maala-hum) to them (Lahum’), so (Fa) they (Hum) are straying (Ya'mahuun).
﴾ 5 ﴿ Those (U'laaika) are the ones who (Ellaziina) will have (Lahum) the evil (Suu'u) punishment (El'Äzaabi), and (Wa) they (Hum) are the losers (El'Akh'saruun) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).
﴾ 6 ﴿ Indeed, you (s) (Innaka) have (La) received (Tulaqqaa) the Koran (28:85) (El'Qur'aana) from (Min Ladun') the Wise (Hakiimin) and Omniscient (Äliim).
﴾ 7 ﴿ When (Iz') Moses (Muusaa) said to (Qaala Li) his family (Ah'li-hi), "Indeed, I (Innii) have perceived (Aanas'tu) a fire (Naaran), I will (Sa) bring you (Aatii-kum Bi) information (Khabarin) therefrom (Min'ha) or (Aw') bring you (Aatii-kum Bi) a meteor (Shihaabin) firebrand (Qabasin) that you (Laällakum) may warm yourselves (Tas'toluun).
﴾ 8 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he came to it (Jaa'a-ha), he was called (Nuudiya) that (An), "Blessed (Buurika) is he who (Man) is at (Fii) the fire (En'Naari) and whoever (Waman') is around it (Haw'la-haa) and (Wa) glory be to GOD (Sub'haana-llahi), LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).
﴾ 9 ﴿ "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), indeed, it (Innahu) is ME (Anaa); GOD (Ellahu), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
﴾ 10 ﴿ "Throw (Al'qi) your staff (Äsoa-ka)." And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he saw it (Ra'aa-haa) moving (Tah'tazzu) as if it (Ka'anna-ha) were a demon (Jaannu), he turned (Wallaa) retreating (Mud'biran) and did not (Walam) pursue (Yuäqqib). "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), do not (Laa) fear (Takhaf), I (Innii) do not (Laa) frighten (Yakhaafu) the messengers (El'Mur'saluun) in front of ME (Ladayya),
﴾ 11 ﴿ but (illa) whoever (Man) transgresses (Zolama), and then (Thumma) changes (Baddala) to good (Hus'na) after (Ba'da) wrong (Suu'in), then (Fa) indeed, I am (Innii) Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).
﴾ 12 ﴿ "So (Wa) insert (Ad'khil') your hand (Yada-ka) into (Fii) your pocket (Jai'bi-ka); it will come out (Takh'ruj') white (Bai'doa'a) without (Min' Gai'ri) harm (Suu'in)." It is among (Fii) the nine (Tis'e) signs (17:101) (Aayaatin) to (ilaa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) and (Wa) his people (Qaw'mi-hi). Indeed, they (Innahum) are (Kaanu') an immoral (Faasiqiin) people (Qaw'man)."
﴾ 13 ﴿ And (Fa) when (Lammaa) Our signs (Aayaatu-naa) came to them (Jaa'at'hum) visibly (Mub'siratan), they said (Qaalu'), "This (Haaza) is clear (Mubiin) sorcery (Sih'run)."
﴾ 14 ﴿ And (Wa) they rejected them (Jahadu' Bi-haa), while (Wa) their souls (Enfusu-hum) were convinced thereof (Es'tai'qanat'haa); such an injustice (Zul'man) and (Wa) haughtiness (Ulluwan). So (Fa) observe (Enzur) how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) the end (Ääqibatu) of the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).
﴾ 15 ﴿ And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') gave (Aata'naa) knowledge (il'man) to David (Daawuda) and (Wa) Solomon (Sulai'maana). And (Wa) they said (Qaala), "Praise (El'Ham'du) be to GOD (Lillahi); who (Ellazii) has favoured us (Faddola-naa) over (Älaa) many (Kathiirin) of (Min') HIS (-hi) believing (El'Mu'miniin) servants (Ebaadi-)."
﴾ 16 ﴿ Solomon (Sulai'maanu) inherited (Waritha) from David (Daawuda). And (Wa) he (Solomon) said (Qaala), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) people (En'Naasu), we have been taught (Ullim'naa) the logic (Mantiqa) of birds (Ettoi'ri) and (Wa) given (Uutiina) of (Min) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in). Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is (Lahuwa) a clear (El'Mubiin) favour (El'Fad'lu)."
﴾ 17 ﴿ And (Wa) assembled (Hushira) for (Li) Solomon (Sulai'maana) were his soldiers (Junuudu-hu) of (Mina) the jinn 1 (El'Jinni), people 2 (El' insi) and (Wa) birds 3 (Ettoi'ri), and (Fa) they (Hum) were distributed (Yuuza'uun)
﴾ 18 ﴿ until (Hattaa), when (Izaa) they came around (Ataw' Älaa) a valley (Waadi) of ants (En'Nam'li)*, a female ant (Nam'latun) said (Qaalat), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) ants (En’Nam'lu), enter (Ed'khulu') your houses (Masaakina-kum) so that Solomon (Sulai'maanu) and (Wa) his soldiers (Junuudu-hu) would not (Laa) smash you (Yah'timanna-kum) while (Wa) they (Hum) do not (Laa) perceive (Yash'uruun)."
﴾ 19 ﴿ And (Fa) he (Solomon) smiled (Tabassama) and laughed (Doahikan) at (Min) her statement (Qaw'li-haa), and (Wa) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), assign me (Aw'zi'nii) to (An') be thankful (Ash'kura) of YOUR blessing (Ni'mata-ka) which (Ellatii) YOU have granted me (An'äm'ta Älayya) and (Wa) upon (Älaa) my parents (Waalidayya), and (Wa) to (An') act (A'mala) righteous (Soalihan) which YOU approve (Tar'doa-hu), and admit me (Ad'khil'nii) by (Bi) YOUR mercy (Rah'mati-ka) among (Fii) YOUR (-ka) righteous (Es'Soalihiin) servants (Ebaadi-)."
﴾ 20 ﴿ So (Wa) he (Solomon) inspected (Tafaqqada) the birds (Ettoi'ra) and (Fa) said (Qaala), "Why do I (Maaliya) not (Laa) see (Araa) the hoopoe (El'Hud'huda), or (Am') is he (Kaana) among (Mina) the absentees (El'Gaa'ibiin)?
﴾ 21 ﴿ "I will (La) punish him (Uäzzibannahu) with a severe (Shadiidan) punishment (Äzaaban) or (Aw') will surely (La) slaughter him (A'zbahanna-hu), unless (Aw' La) he presents me (Ya'tiyannii Bi) a clear (Mubiin) authority (Sul'toanin)."
﴾ 22 ﴿ So (Fa) he (the bird) remained (Makatha) not (Gai'ra) faraway (Baeedin) and (Fa) said (Qaala), "I have encompassed (Ahatu Bi) what (Maa) you (Solomon) have not (Lam') encompassed (Tuhit' Bihi), and (Wa) I have brought you (Ji'tu-ka Bi) a certain (Yaqiin) news (Nabain) from (Min) Sheba (34:15) (Sabai).
﴾ 23 ﴿ "Indeed, I (Innii) found (Wajadttu) a woman (Em'ra'atan) ruling them (Tam'liku-hum’) and (Wa) she has been given (Uutiyat') of (Min) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in) and has (Lahaa) a great (Äziim) throne (Är'shun).
﴾ 24 ﴿ "I found her (Wajadttu-haa) and (Wa) her people (Qaw'ma-haa) prostrating (Yas'juduuna) to the sun (41:37) (Lis' Sham'si) other than GOD (Min Duuni-llahi), and (Wa) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) has adorned (Zayyana) their deeds (A'maala-hum) to them (Lahumu) and (Fa) turned them away (Sodda-hum’) from (Äni) the way (Es'Sabiili), so (Fa) they (Hum) are not (Laa) guided (Yah'taduun).
﴾ 25 ﴿ "They do not (Alla) prostrate (Yas'judu') to GOD (Lillahi), who (Ellazii) brings forth (Yukh'riju) what is hidden (El'Khab'a) in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and (Wa) knows (Ya'lamu) what (Maa) you conceal (Tukh'fuuna) and what (Wamaa) you declare (Tu'linuun)!?
﴾ 26 ﴿ "GOD (Ellahu); there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), LORD (Rabbu) of the Great (El'Äziim) Throne (El'Är'shi)!?" (9:129)
﴾ 27 ﴿ He (Solomon) said (Qaala), "We will see (Sa Nanzuru) whether you are truthful (A’sodaq'ta) or (Am') you are (Kunta) of (Mina) the liars (El'Kaazibiin).
﴾ 28 ﴿ "Go with (Ez'hab' Bi) this (Haaza) letter of mine (Kitaabii) and (Fa) deliver it (Al'qih') to them (ilai'him), and then (Thumma) turn away from them (Tawalla Än'hum) and (Fa) see (Enzur') what (Maaza) they will return (Yar'jiuun)."
﴾ 29 ﴿ She (the queen) said (Qaalat'), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) assembly (El'Malau), I have (Innii) an honourable (Kariim) letter (Kitaabun) delivered to me (Ul'qiya ilayya).
﴾ 30 ﴿ "Indeed, it (Innahu) is from (Min) Solomon (Sulai'maana) and (Wa) indeed, it (Innahu) is, "In the name (Bis'mi) of GOD (Ellahi), the GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maani), the MERCIFUL (Er' Rahiim),
﴾ 31 ﴿ that do not (Alla) loom (Ta'lu') over me (Älayya); but (Wa) come to me (Etuunii) as submitters (Mus'limiin)."
﴾ 32 ﴿ She said (Qaalat), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) assembly (El'Malau'), opine me (Af'tuunii) concerning (Fii) my affair (Am'rii), I will not (Maa Kuntu) decide (Qaatiätan) a matter (Am'ran) until (Hattaa) you bear me witness (Tash'haduuni)."
﴾ 33 ﴿ They said (Qaalu'), "We (Nah'nu) are those (U'lu') of power (Quwwatin) and (Wa) those (U'lu') of mighty (Ba'sin) strength (Shadiidin), but (Wa) the command (El'Am'ru) belongs to you (s) (ilai'ki), so (Fa) see (Enzurii) what (Maaza) you will command (Ta'muriin)."
﴾ 34 ﴿ She said (Qaalat’), "Indeed (Inna), whenever (Izaa) the kings (El'Muluuka) enter (Dakhalu') a town (Qar'yatan), they corrupt it (Af'saduu-haa) and (Wa) render (Jaäluu') its dearest (Aezzata) people (Ah'li-haa) humiliated (Azillatan). And (Wa) likewise (Kazaalika) will they do (Yaf'äluun).
﴾ 35 ﴿ "And (Wa) indeed, I am (Innii) sending (Mur'silatun Bi) a gift (present) (Hadiyyatin) to them (ilai'him) to (Fa) see (Naaziratu) what (Bimaa) the messengers (El'Mur'saluun) will bring back (Yar'jiu)."
﴾ 36 ﴿ So (Fa) when (Lammaa) they came (Jaa'a) to Solomon (Sulai'maana), he said (Qaala), "Are you supplying me (A'tumidduunani) with (Bi) wealth (Maalin)? But (Fa) what (Maa) GOD (Ellahu) has given me (Aataania) is better (Khai'run) than what (Mimmaa) HE has given you (p) (Aataa-kum). In fact (Bal'), you (Antum) should rejoice (Taf'rahuun) with (Bi) your gift (Hadiyyati-kum).

﴾ 40 ﴿ The one who (Ellazii) had (Endahu) knowledge (il'mun) of (Mina) the Book (El'Kitaabi) said (Qaala), "I (Ana') can bring it (Aatiika Bi-hi) before (Qab'la An) your blink (Tor'fu-ka) draws back (Yar'tadda) to you (ilai'ka)." And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he (Solomon) saw it (Ra’aa-hu) settled (Mus'taqirran) before him (Endahu), he said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) is by (Min) the favour (Fad'li) of my LORD (Rabbii) in order to (Li) test me (Yab'luunii) whether am grateful (A'sh'kuru) or (Am') ungrateful (Ak'furu). And whoever (Waman) is ungrateful (disbelieves) (Kafara), then (Fa) indeed (Inna), my LORD (Rabbii) is Rich (Ganiyyun) and Honourable (Kariim)."
﴾ 41 ﴿ He (Solomon) said (Qaala), "Disguise (Nakkiru') her throne (Är'sha-haa) for her (Lahaa); we will see (Nanzur') whether she will be guided (A'tah'tadii) or (Am') will be (Takuunu) of (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) are not (Laa) guided (Yah'taduun)."

﴾ 88 ﴿ And (Wa) you will see (Taraa) the mountains (El'Jibaala), you think they (Tah'sabu-haa) are rigid (Jaamidatan), but (Wa) they (Hiya) will pass (Tamurru) as the passing (Marra) of the clouds (Es'Sahaabi); such is the work of GOD (Sun'ä-llahii), who (Ellazii) has perfected (At'qana) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in).
