The Backbiter سُورَةُ الهُمَزَةِ
﴾ ١ ﴿ وَیۡلࣱ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةࣲ لُّمَزَةٍ
﴾ 1 ﴿
Woe (Wai'lun) to (Li) every (Kulli) backbiter (Humazatin)* and carper (Lumazat'),
﴾ ٢ ﴿ ٱلَّذِی جَمَعَ مَالࣰا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
﴾ 2 ﴿
who (Ellazii) gathers (Jamaä) wealth (Maalan) and (Wa) counts it (Äddada-hu),
﴾ ٣ ﴿ یَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥۤ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
﴾ 3 ﴿
thinking (Yah'sabu) that (Anna) his wealth (Maala-hu) will make him immortal (Akh'lada-hu).
﴾ ٤ ﴿ كَلَّاۖ لَیُنۢبَذَنَّ فِی ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
﴾ 4 ﴿
Nay (Kallaa)! He will be (La) discarded (Yunbazanna) into (Fii) the debris (El'Hutoma').
﴾ ٥ ﴿ وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
﴾ 5 ﴿
And (Wa) what (Maa) will make you (s) know (Ad'raa-ka) what (Maa) is the debris (El'Hutoma')?
﴾ ٦ ﴿ نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
﴾ 6 ﴿
It is the kindled (El'Muuqada') fire of GOD (Naaru-llahi),
﴾ ٧ ﴿ ٱلَّتِی تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
﴾ 7 ﴿
which (Ellatii) overtakes (Tattoliu Älaa) the minds (El'Af'ida').
﴾ ٨ ﴿ إِنَّهَا عَلَیۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ
﴾ 8 ﴿
Indeed, it (Innahaa) will be shut (Mu'sodat') against them (Älai'him)
﴾ ٩ ﴿ فِی عَمَدࣲ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
﴾ 9 ﴿
within (Fii) extended (Mumaddadat') pillars (columns) (Amadin).
